which snus and where?

Hey all,

I want to supplement vaping with snus due to popular suggestion but don't know what to get. I don't want anything offbeat as far as flavor goes and no menthol. Maybe just a well rounded tobacco flavor with some kind of undertone. What do you think I should get and from where in the USA? Any help from the experts is greatly appreciated!

As far as a pure tobacco flavor goes the two I can recommend are Ettan and Grovsnus. Ettan is a nice mild flavor with and almost buttery undertones. Grovsnus is a bit stronger but still smooth.

A good one for beginners is Lab 01 or 02. 01 is 8 mg nicotine per portion and 02 is 13 mg. It's a mild flavored tobacco with some nutty undertones. Strongly suggest starting out on the low nicotine side to start with and go from there.

The first thing new users notice with Swedish snus is salt. Almost everyone says there is to much of it. No need to worry. After a few weeks the salt fads to the background and you start noticing other flavors. Of course when you get into flavors everyone has their own opinion. No doubt other characters will show up with theres.

Go to the links Stubby provided and shop around, read descriptions and reviews of the different snus, then when you find some that look appealing, start a thread here asking for reviews of said products. You'll get responses that will help to make your first experience with Swedish snus a good one. The bunch here in the Smokeless section are the friendliest on the forum .

I picked up a tin of Camel at the local minimart the other day just because I was curious. I know it's not the most cared for snus out there but I had to try. I just popped one in my mouth about 5 minuted ago and it tastes like I have a sugar cube laced with tobacco in my mouth! Yuck. Boy the nic buzz is freakin great though! hehe my first snus experience. Start out with one I don't like so I know what to compare it to...

wow...that sucked. I just took it out. Are they all that sweet? Couldn't even taste my coffee! I think the word of the day is "mellower". That was way too much for this virgin mouth haha! I hated the sweetness...wayyyy too much. I need an anal log now to get the taste out. The nic rush is pretty awesome though!

To answer your question about camel snus, no, just the opposite. Traditional Swedish snus is salty not sweet. Camel is much sweeter then the sweetest Swedish snus (bet cha can't say that three times).
