Who cares, you can always steath vape or just vape in the toilets.
I'll be damned if I'm flying 12 hours without a vape

The ban would because they do not have time to educate everyone on what an electronic cigarette is nor have the time to tell non smokers on the plane that what a e-smoker is doing is not breaking the law or harmful to them, its just easier not to allow them, we might see some change when e cigs become more socially acceptable,

We have approached every airline and they just said no to allowing it to be sold or used on the plane, there is only one airline that I know allows e-cigs and that is Ryan Air a cheap airline service in Europe, and they doing ok with allowing them, but it could be sometime before the rest see the bottom line advantage.

But you can bet your bottom dollar we are working hard at getting these products allowed on airline, the only glimmer of hope came from Khula they did not say no or yes but will give it some thought when we hear back from them we will let you know, if they ever get back to us, will do a follow up call some time next week

You might want to try a nicorette inhaler in the mean time

I reckon an airline could score huge if they handed out free disposable e-cigs to smokers, along with the free eats and drinks. They could get around the passenger ignorance easily with an explanatory leaflet in the seat pocket along with the airline magazines, as well as using non-tobacco liquids. If a non-smoker smells strawberries while his neighbour vapes, they'll soon relax and pay no more attention.

I'm vaping in shopping centres, supermarkets, cinemas and even a hospital. The only restriction I place on myself is that there is no one within vapour reach which is not much more than a few metres. No one has challenged me yet.

Just flew to India and back on SAA, my 510 worked well for stealth vaping, useful at the airports as well. Once I got to somewhere smoking was allowed I could pull out my 801's and make some big clouds.

+-R18030 spent on e-cigarettes, liquid and paraphernalia: saved plenty bucks and feeling fine!

    .
Airlines are cost cutting still so that's highly unlikely. People are choosing to fly mostly on price alone or on free miles and to offer a good price the airlines need to cut the frills.- That includes meals and everything else we took for granted in years gone by.
Vaping will never be acceptable in confined spaces. You will always get the idiot who decides to vape Turkish and stink up the whole plane

Just have a look at http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/for...-supplier.html, suppliers are welcome.

The poster needs to register as a supplier, that's probably why he's blocked. If Twisp does have a spokesperson, they will register as suppliers.
In any case the ACSA will never give credence to one supplier and approval of one brands products only. They would be hauled before the competition comission before they could blink. They will either allow e-smoking everywhere in the airports or they will not allow it. The CAA do not have a mandate to oversee the e-cig unless it will be from a safety aspect as it relates to e-cigs safety aboard aircraft within South African airspace if there is in fact a safety issue...but the UK CAA, The US FAA haven't gotten involved AFAIK. It is unlikely our CAA get involved and certainly if in the highly unlikely reason they did, they will never endorse one brand/product. The Twisp has a problem if what the poster says was even remotely true because then Twisp as a supplier will have to disclose who makes their products (besides Janty) and this is something they won't willingly do why? because they buy their products from the same place a lot of suppliers do, except they charge extortionate prices. Regardless the final approvals or disapprovals of e-cig use will rest with the respective airlines themselves and their management boards. Many international airlines have already printed their e-cig policies in their inflight magazines. Twisp probably wants a kiosk in the airports to continue the fleecing of the public because it's a captive audience waiting for planes.
