    DaveB,

You have a valid point. Janty's warranty definitely may be worth it, as I have already gone through 2 atomizers in 4 days! No matter what, I would have a couple extra atomizers on hand to get you by while waiting for replacements to come!

    asidrave,

I'm not sure what is going on with these things. I have been topping off the carts often and never needing more than 2 drops to overflow the cart. I talked to someone else who has been on the same atomizer for a couple weeks now and she drips on the atomizer, so I am putting one drop on the atomizer when refilling the cart to see if that will help prolong the life of this one!

If you can afford/want to keep a stash of atomizers on hand, this is one awesome vaporizer!

The 2 I lost I'm attributing to either a wonky batch or bad auto batt. Everything returned, replacements arriving today. I'm continually topping off about 3 drops to keep everything moist. I haven't been dripping on the atom as I've seen clear evidence with both the auto and manual batts of liquid seeping up between the batt and atom. I'm being really careful of the temp. The atoms I lost were not a result of over-vaping. One had less than an hr on it with breaks in between.

With the one auto batt, the atom got hot and had the pop/hiss sometimes others have reported. So thought it was normal. Also took a long time to cool down. So I marked it and quit using it. With all the other batts I stay with pleasantly warm. Any more than that and I break it down and switch atoms. My others have been fine since. So make of it what you will.

As to the warranty issue, will have to wait and see what prices are when Janty's back up. Last I saw they had $15.95. If it stays that, then better deal in the long run. Would still keep plenty of spares on hand. The 2wk isn't bad either though with a significant price diff, especially if ship issues aren't fixed at Janty. Most are 2wks from arrival. So if one is returned and warranty replaced in the 1st 2wks the warranty on the replacement should be 2wks from receipt of the replacement. The atoms are the same other than the logo. If there are just occasional wonky atoms here or there the 2wk should be fine to weed out the bad ones.

    it did this unattended?

my evening "done vaping for the day" ritual before bed is to disassemble
the battery, atomizer and cart. blow out the atomizer gently into
a napkin to dry it out over night.

    I never leave batteries attached.

it happened at work today, i was switching batteries when it happened. i took the atomizer off of the dead battery and put it on the other one and set it down a few seconds later i smelled something burning and picked it up and it was really hot and i could barely touch it. i got it apart and let it cool down. i put 2 drops of liquid on the atomizer and tried to reatach it and it made a pop then it was dead. i tested the atomizer on an a multi-meter and it showed open - no resistance, and the battery was showing 4 volts with out the switch pressed. the other battery only shows voltage when the switch is pressed.
