Default My e-cigarette has arrived.... from ecig.com

alrite after 1 week, finally received my 1st e-cigarette from ecig.com...

actually was supposed to receive it on tues but due to no one being home, and me having to figure out how to retrieve my package, dats y it took 1 full week.... processing from ecig.com has been really prompt i must say...

bracing myself to anticipate a failing product out of the box after so many negative review for this supplier, i was actually pleasantly surprised to the the tip glow in red when i take a first suck straight out from the box.... it seems to be working... but 1st impression was.... where's the vapour?..... i figure maybe it was my smoking style or watever, but luckily after a few inhalations, the smoke did come out, albeit it was not thick at all.... the cartridge it came with, i guess is a cherry or strawberry flavoured cart, taste like sheesha.... not bad at all!!

the build and feel of the e-cigarette looks and feels quite sturdy built, good enough and up to my expectation for the price i paid, vapour derived has been pretty decent. the suction on the e-cig does resembles that of drawing on a real cigarette, can feel some sort hit going into the lungs. but i have no idea whether am i drawing in any nicotine or not...

just 1 hour into my virgin experience... hoping when i pop in a fully charged battery, this thing will roar into life.... will review this further after a longer time with this new gadget...... hope nothing fails on me so soon..

some question... when you guys are not puffing on it, for storage, do you unscrew the battery? or do you leave it on?.... does leaving the battery screwed consumes any power from the batt?

how do i know when my cartridge needs to be replaced?

and how do i noe wat model my penstyle is? i dun see it indicated anywhere...

do you alternate between different flavours at any time or change cartridges only after you empty the one in your e-cig?

i confirm will bring it out and smoke everywhere, including trying to smoke this in places which prohibits smoking. i'm quite sure the authorities would not prosecute anyone for its usage bah... i tink is just cannot sell... just like chewing gum... its prohibited for sale but so many ppl still chew on it in broad day light...

i only worry about whether the importing of e-liquids would be more troublesome.

I usually only unscrew the battery on mine when I leave it overnight. During the day I don't unscrew it.

I don't think it draws too much power if any when it's screwed in. But I unscrew it overnight just in case. Plus if any liquid happens to go through to the battery side overnight it won't hurt it.

For the cartridge being replaced... When you have a fully charged battery and the vapor starts getting really thin. You can take out the cartridge and look at it. You can get an idea of how empty it is. I store mine vertically after a few hours of smoking, to make sure the liquid falls down towards the atomizer. You get better smoke that way and the cartridges empty more. But yeah generally replace them when it stops smoking...

As for the model... Someone else can better answer that question. There's no markings on e-cigs themselves to indicate model, as far as I know.

I change out my cartridges before they're empty sometimes to change tastes. It doesn't hurt it. Just make sure the cartridge you take out is stored so it won't leak. Sometimes when I take the cartridge out I'll smoke it dry for a few puffs before I put in a different flavor. Otherwise you'll have too much of the old flavor. Just make sure the atomizer doesn't get too hot or dry.

    Hope this helps.

    sorry to add on
one point I not sure you mention"store vertically after a few hours of smoking, to make sure the liquid falls down towards the atomizer"

the liquid will not leak spoil the atomizer???
sorry if I didn;t research enough becos what I know
the atomizer need to be dry and free from any liquid to be durable.

I hope they sent you a good product! First of all, I can't wait to read your review after your batteries have charged fully and you've used it for a day.

To answer your questions (answers may vary in this forum.)

when you guys are not puffing on it, for storage, do you unscrew the battery? or do you leave it on?.... does leaving the battery screwed consumes any power from the batt?
I leave the battery on during the day hours for use when I need it. When not in use, I unscrew them and put them away. I do not know if it does consume any power when not in use, but I figured it couldn't hurt.

how do i know when my cartridge needs to be replaced?
I "top off" with liquid or change the cartridge when the volume of vapor and flavor diminish.

If you want more vapor, drop a drip of good vegetable Glycerin (make sure it's food-grade glycerin and only glycerin- no other ingredients) on the atomizer mesh- let it settle for a bit, then pop the cartridge back in- but do so at own risk- I do this all the time and my atomizer is holding up and producing clouds of vapor

The pen looks liek the smartfixx & NJoy, although it's a little hard to tell- the Cartridges look similar too. What was the price for the starter kit? The smartfixx starter kit costs $80

i can confirm that they are indeed different than smartFixx and Njoy. carts are similar, but not the same.
