Default Red Dragon vs Vapor King Questions

Has anyone compared these two brands? How did they stack up in vapor production, throat hit, customer service, etc ??

Are they both the type ecigs that have the atomizer in the cartridge ??

    Thanx

Yes, they have atomizers in the cartridge. I don't know about VK vs RD, but did read something here that basically said beware of RD. Can't elaborate more. I ordered a V9 Nebula this morning and Ben sent a tracking number 20 minutes later. !!! I found this model in a thread discussing buildup of crud on the atomizer. I guess you wouldn't have that problem with these cartomizers since you'll replace them often. There is a way to refill them, too.

VK, RD, Nebula, and Zeus are all apparently the same model.

I have a Red Dragon and a V9 Nebula from Vapornine. I can't comment on the VK itself but the Nebula is equal to the VK from what I understand. Anyway I'm new at ecigs, only one week in so take this with a grain of salt. I like both devices but they do have differences.

The RD is smaller and batteries have to be recharged after 2 to 3 hours..and you have to puff slightly harder on it for a shorter period of time since it has a 3 second cut off... Vapor output is really good but I'm not as keen on the stock carts when you first open them. Once you add some juice to it, its actually pretty good. I don't find these cartomizers last as long as my Nebula..either that or I ruined them by overfilling perhaps.. But since it looks the most like a cigarette I'll probably keep this one for short trips about town. Customer service and delivery was great, no problems.

The V9 Nebula... very sleek and classy in a matte black. It too has the disposable cartomizers. Batteries are little bigger *longer*, and only have to be charged about every 4 to 6 hours. It has a very easy draw on it, so easy that I actually cough and choke sometimes because I'm still getting used to it. The carts refill very easy and I find they taste better when you first open them than the RD's carts. Once filled they both taste the same to me.

My son uses the Nebula too and he nursed his first two cartridges for a week, swapping between the two and refilling as needed. I've been using my Nebula cartridge for the same amount of time but I've been using the RD & the Nebula. Both of us being new to ecigs, I think we did pretty well. Ben over at Vapornine is wonderfully supportive and the service is top notch. Shipping is fast and he responds to all email.

Why not get them both and decide for yourself? RD gives a 30 day guarantee, and Vapornine gives you 14 days I think..not sure what you get for the VK but its most likely comparable. Make sure you order some juice and a few extra carts from whomever you buy from.

If I had to choose just one device it would be my Nebula. Hope this helps in some small way.

I have the VK and was also interested in the RD. Sent an email to RD and never heard back from them. Sent Steve at VK an email, instant response (with in a few hours). This was a no brainer for me. Ordered the VK and passed on the RD.

I have the Red Dragon and the Vapor King, there is no comparison, the Red Dragon sits in a drawer, the Vapor King is in my pocket at all times.

Red dragon had no throat hit to me. The draw is too hard, the cutoff time too short, the carts taste like burnt ass.

I havent used my RD since i got the Vapor King. I even tried putting the Vapor King carts onto the RD batts, some fit some dont. The VK Carts when connected to the RD batteries have no throat hit, so its not the carts its the batteries that make the difference.

The RD also activates itself MUCH easier than the VK, this means anytime ive been in a club working, the thing was sitting on the table CONSTANTLY on, because of the sound vibrations.

    VK all the way.

haven't heard much about RD, but just looking at their site its best to avoid them at all costs. things like the bad grammar/text, obvious overpricing, and false claims (along with the site design) just make it a definite no in my opinion. Treat it the same way you would the mall vendors.
