My Opinion Zi Moshi 801L LV -vs- Scredriver in E-Cigarette Reviews; Well, I'm on my 2nd day, and the TW 901 atty is working just fine for me. It's not a ...

Thanks - I take it the SD uses a single batt, as does the zimoshi 'short,' and the zimoshi 'long' still uses a single (but larger mAh), and the magnum uses a pair of them in series?
(I did check the zimoshi site, but couldn't find that info :-( )

Exactly correct.............

Thanks, Elendil. So, having said that, they're using 'proper'/comparable voltage, and the current doesn't magically increase here based on mAh ratings (mAh = longevity, not 'forcing current' through a device), then really, isn't this coming down to:
1. Which atomizer works best? (801 vs 901, I think?)
2. How long the battery in each lasts paired with respective attys
3. Personal preference
Someone said 'my SD killed N attys' - using the same atty in the 'other device' (regardless of which one, unless an added component is changing the complete circuit, should have identical results, no? (Assuming the atty resistance is the same, as well as their 'tolerances')

I have an SD. Been using it for 40 days, haven't lost an atty yet..........
The 801 or 901 version of the LV will give you longest amount of battery life. (Especially if you buy the 3000 maH batts).
My LV on order is the 801 variety and I have a Stick on order as well. I will be interested to compare the 801 performance with the 901.............

OK found out the attys are dead?!?!? I can get one great hit from the screwdriver once every 5 hours. I hot it once and it wint do anything else for 3-5 hours. Then it will give me another really good and nothing again. It wont heat the atty at all. If I hold the atty to my ear and listen for the crackle. It will crackle for 4-5 seconds then is totally silent. wait several hours and it will do it again. very strange?!?

@elendil
Hurry up, I want reviews :-) The Janty stick is IMHO, a bit on the low side on mAh, but with the integrated passthrough, it's still a really appealing device to me (once they have a 510 adapter, if they do a 401 as well, frosting on the cake :-) )
I think the comparison really will become that - besides the battery life (SD and various LV versions), it's down to the atomizers and carts unless I'm missing something in the equation..

How old were the 901 attys before using with the SD? Have you checked the battery voltage and replaced it in the SD? Batteries tend to regain a *slight* amount of charge when left alone, is it possible the battery is at fault here, and not the atty? (regains enough slight charge from sitting that it has juice for a single charge only).
AFAIK, the SD batteries used aren't protected, so if it is the battery, it may or may not hold a charge (or for full duration)...

Are you sure on this. My SD batteries are protected.

I have the SD, LV, and the GG and they are all excellent, I think. And, the customer service from Trog, Tim (and Imeo), and Ted are just top notch.

From the Spiderfire link you provided:
- Model: SpiderFire LC16340
- 3.6V 880mAh capacity (manufacturer rated)
- Unprotected design
Diff battery, or the SD has an added pcb for protection?
