Default Janty Yentl Kissbox-1 Month Use Review

So it's about a month to the day that I've had and used my Janty Yentl. Just thought I would share my experience.

So far, I have used it to help me cut back from over 2 packs of Marlboro's a day. I'm down to 1 pack of cigarettes a day. I get a pack in the morning, and then I switch to the Janty about mid-afternoon. I have cleaned the atomizer once a week by rinsing it in a 50/50 solution of HOT water and white vinegar...5 minutes of agitation, 30 minutes to soak in a small tupperware container. Rinse again with hot water, blow dry with a can of compressed air, drip with liquid. This has helped considerably with the burnt taste that many on here talk about with Janty atomizers.

As far as the fit and finish is concerned...I've taken it everywhere with me, the paint is still good, and the case is still in good shape.

I'll start with the negative issues I have come across.

    1. A dead battery. I posted on here about it..tried all the suggestions to fix it, but it finally went to the battery graveyard. Called Janty..got the replacement free of charge in 2 days, with free cartridges to boot. So all in all..some good with the bad. No complaints.
    2. This thing eats cartridges like mad. To anyone who is considering going with one of these...definitely take the advice of others on here: Liquid is the way to go. Buy a few carts, and refill as needed...it will save you $$$. Janty's own liquid works good...haven't tried any others yet. The prefilled carts also seem a little weak to me. Like they need to be filled more, and I have had a whole package that were sealed shut on the mouth end and I had to push a sewing needle through them to open them up. The draw rate also varies dramatically between cartridges...the brown carts have a light, airy draw....and I've found black carts to have a much more robust, full draw.
    3. The case needs to be bigger, or have more storage. Mainly...It needs room for extra cartridges...as I said above they run out pretty quickly, and some extra slots to carry some around would be much appreciated.
    4. The burnt taste. It happens, and I don't think there is any way to avoid it. The good thing though, in my experience, is if you clean it..it goes away. Your mileage may vary, as some on this forum can't seem to get it gone.
    5. The Manual Battery. At first I loved it. The more I came to use my ecig, I have begun to despise it, I like to be able to just pick it up, and smoke..no buttons. Not really a negative thing I guess, just a matter of personal preference. Most people seem to really like the manual battery. I also don't like how the manual doesn't have an LED indicator...but again..personal preference, it doesn't really affect performance.

So now we go to the positive side.

    1. Smoke, Smoke, Smoke. Or vapor, if you will. This thing is a little champ. I'm a pretty hardcore smoker and if I really give it hell, it will about knock me out and put me into a coughing fit. Topping off carts is the best, but even the factory ones hit ya pretty good at first. Janty also has a good variety of flavors, and I havent found any that I havent really liked.
    2. Battery Charge. So far I haven't had much of an issue with batteries keeping a charge. I usually get about 12 or more hours out of them, and they seem to keep running like that on a 4-5 hour charge. You can definitely tell when they are on their last little bit though...they really taper off and get weak on the vapor side...but at least its a good indicator.
    3. The case (once again). While the case could use some improvement, it is definitely a nice thing to have. It's compact, and really alot more durable than I thought it would be when I first saw it. Much better, to me, than the small cloth pouch that came with the gamucci pen style I used to have.
    4. Customer Service. As many have stated, they are awesome. Always polite, always fast, and I have always gotten free goodies with every order; it seems they aim to please.

Overall, I am very happy with it. A few snags here or there, but I think that's par for the course with ecigs.

    nice review mate!

just got mine a few days ago, dead manual batt, faulty auto batt as well as a wimpy atomizer.

as you said though the customer service is great and Jeff sent me out replacements very quickly.

cant wait to get it functioning 100%.

I don't even think about pushing the buton anymore. I't just automatic that I'll squeze my fingers while lifting it to my lips. I even do it with other e-cigs sometimes by mistake.

Do you think I should get one or wait for the Fogger to come out?
