So the folks at Blaze (blaze electronic cigarettes) gave away some gear not long ago, and I happened to lucky enough to be one to receive some.
*Disclaimer time: I received this package free of charge for the purpose of review, however, as always will have no bearing on the honesty and accuracy of my review*
I've been using this for about 2 weeks now. As far as the ecig itself, it's a fairly standard entry level kit. The starter kit came with a battery, a charger, and 2 cartos. The packaging I thought was fairly novel being shaped and styled after an cigarette pack. After getting a charge on the battery, I screwed on a carto and away I went. I have to say it's not what I was expecting, most intro kits I've tried ranged from the mediocre to outright garbage, but that's not the case here. The equipment itself is solidly built, the menthol cartos that came w/ the ecig actually taste like menthol instead of cheap perfume like some others I've tried, and the battery holds a decent charge (about 3-4 hrs for me, but I'm a chain vaper). If I had one major suggestion for the vendor, it would be pricing. At $14.99 for a 5 pack of cartos, and $29.95 for the kit I received, it's a bit overpriced in my opinion, but not really any more so than a lot of other intro kits I've seen.
The e-cigar, however, was a pleasant surprise, especially since it's my first experience with one. I've used this almost non-stop since I've got it, and is still running strong. Now, obviously I think the "Cuban cigar" labeling is shooting a bit high since I've had the real thing, it's actually a decent flavored vape, likened more to a Swisher Sweet, and is fairly close with the shape and feel of a real cigar. As with the e-cig kit, I think it's a bit overpriced coming in at $24.95, but overall a pleasant vape.
Overall, I'd say the offerings from Blaze e-cigs are a decent introduction into the world of vaping. My only real complaint if I had to pick one is the pricing. If they would/could address that, I think Blaze would be a real contender in the intro gear category.
