i'm concerned about overcharging as well as i like to charge my batts overnight.
heard that sometimes the unprotected batts can explode on you. that's what i'm afraid of.
someone on this forum has already had it happen to him.
you can buy protected ones that fit the screwdriver is the good news. and as I said the charger is the important part of the battery
my 10440 batt in my passthru might stay plug in for a week and no problems

Damn man! I have one of those guys coming to me too. I didn't make it to my mailbox until the place closed so now I can't get it until tomorrow.
I'm jealous! I can't wait to try this thing out!!

It really is a great device. As for the unprotected battery can't really comment on it to be honest as I'm not a battery expect, what I can say is that one of the batteries has been sitting on the charger for about 8 hours now with no issues. (I have a strip plug all full of chargers)
As for the battery life, I'd say it's about twice the length of the Penstyle.
I have a video review that should be live on Youtube in a few hours

Hello,
I'm thinking about getting a VP1 based on the design and size, but I'm totally lost as to whether I should get the regular VP1 (801 compatible) or the VP1-901 (the 901 compatible version). Can anyone tell me the primary difference between the two? I know that one is a 'pen style' and one is a 'mini', but that doesn't tell me much, in all honesty. I'm looking for the difference in terms of cart size, atomizer life (especially relating to use with a mod like the VP1), and taste / vapor production.
Does anyone have any input? I'd really appreciate it. To date, my first and only device has been a J118 or VX2, so that's where I'm coming from.
Thanks!

Chris,
I just ordered a VP1 today (I couldn't hold out), but I'm wondering if you can comment on the battery life a bit. I almost went with the VP2 ('dill style') due to the 900mAh batteries, but I really like the form factor of the VP1. So, I'm just wondering what your results have been like with the battery life of the VP1.
Thanks!

Thanks happily,
Regarding the VP1 battery life, that's exactly what my research has confirmed since this morning.
For anyone considering the VP1 who's concerned about the unprotected battery thing, I just found something out from Chris at VaprLife (who has been totally great with all of my questions through this). They are not only working on a new version of the VP1 that will come with protected batteries, but they are also sending the new 'protected' ends for prior VP1 owners as a free upgrade when the new version is ready. He estimated 4-6 weeks for this to materialize.
I can't wait to test this thing out.
