    Thumbs up vp-901 from vaprlife

Now that I've had my vp-901 for a good few days, here are my initial thoughts.

It's just what I needed. Small footprint, replaceable batteries, and a nice design.

It lasts about 4-6 times longer than my crappy 901 batteries.

2 batteries usually last more than all day (I had 6 901 batts in rotation before).

    Build construction is solid.

Vapor production is slightly better than a perfect fully charged stock battery.

Vapor does NOT taste burnt, unlike usb adapters I have used (hence why I went for a 3.7v solution).

Additionally, customer service has been VERY responsive. The 1st one off the block had a small defect and they were very fast to respond and replace.

I'll post more after I've had it for awhile. So far though, I'm digging it.

Glad to hear that you're having a similar experience to my own, Mike...

I just got a VP1 (the 801 version) yesterday, and I'm extremely happy with this device. I think that its 3.7 solid volts coupled with the right atty and setup gives me everything I want - taste, vapor, and a clean, hassle-free vaping experience all around - without compromising flavor for the sake of sheer power.

    Right on.

Do you have the VP1 or the bigger VP2?

I'm 99.99% sure that Mike has the VP1.

The VP-901 is now called the 'VP1-901' on the Vaprlife website, as they've just updated their product line to offer both models (the VP1 and the VP2) with a native 801 atty and adapters for both the 501 and 901 atomizers.

So, the new lineup looks like this:

VP1-801 (standard unit for an 801 atty)
VP1-901 (standard unit for an 801 atty with an included 901 adapter)
VP1-501 (standard unit for an 801 atty with an included 501 adapter)

VP2-801 (standard unit for an 801 atty)
VP2-901 (standard unit for an 801 atty with an included 901 adapter)
VP2-501 (standard unit for an 801 atty with an included 501 adapter)

    Hope this helps.

I have the vp1 with a 901 fitting. Not quite what is now for sale on the site, probably more of an earlier prototype. That said, it's still holding up like a champ.
