    Different strokes for different folks.

You all like the KR808D-1 (what a cumbersome name), Leaford likes it (though not as much as his similar Loong Totem/Greencig), yet I couldn't wait to switch from it (it was my first e-cig) to my 801 (now attached to my Prody). The cartomizer concept is simple and convenient (might be a good choice for a beginner). But I found the taste harsh, the mouthpiece/cart/atty uncomfortably hot, and the vapor wimpy.

And this is not just a distant memory. I let my backup supply of 801 attys get down to one, which died 3 minutes after first use and after having placed an urgent order for more (which got bogged down in postal hell for a week). That was not a pleasant week for me. Partly because, even though I did have a few functioning cartomizers, I only had one remaining KR battery, which required more frequent and longer charging than has been reported in this thread. I was reduced to supplementing with the unthinkable - my first analogs in 3 months. [Good thing I don't use that smokefree counter in my signature.] The taste of those analogs, of course, was yucky, pooey.

But I didn't enjoy the KR vaping that much more.

So the KRwhatever obviously is enjoyed by many, but by me, not so much. [Only good things to say about CigEasy however (as well as Mist-Stix).]

so unfortunate, may i ask how old the batter that u have to recharge so much is, i am really curious about the life of the battery, i have 901s that barely work anymore after a couple months use. hoping the kr808d1s last a little longer.
Spared my life! I never want to go back to Analogues.

to me spending $8 on a 5 pack of cartomizers beats the hell out of spending $7-$8 on one single 801 atomizer. It makes more sense to me moneywise. My KR's deliver epic flavor and vapor , i only use one 801 atty anymore and it's on my Puresmoker Passthrough. I think my favorite thing about the cartomizers is not getting juice in my mouth anymore.

i am totally there with you man, no mess, dont have to refill as often and they dont leak well mine havent yet. someone started a thread about leaking problems and i sugguested they try cartomizers, every response after that people ignored the guys message and told him to get a mod, which i agree a mod would be great to have (saving up for one as we speak) but i dont think any mod is going to fix any leaking problems because they all use the same cartridges.

As long as we're all here...

I'll throw in my two cents, the KR808D-1 is my first and only e-cig so far.

(tried a Mall Brand? in a store and hated it)

I'm a heavy vaper and was a heavy smoker, I get three or four hours from a single batery and find that's also how long it takes to charge one...

My solution to all the minor ills e.g. the cart gets hot, the tip is metal etc.---is to have three or four of them (I bought two kits) and switch back and forth, first 10 draws are the best, and four or five drops refreshes a nearly spent cart.

A hot cart really sets the drops as you drip and ten minutes later you're smoking fresh...

Nine dollar 30ml. bottles from misty-stix is hard to beat, and you can snip a hole in one of the rubber shipping jackets and slip it over the tip, and you have a cushy soft lip, or tooth sinking interface...

GrimGreen, I'm going to order a 901 manual pass through for my car on your recommend, although

You didn't say it would work in a USB to car cig lighter adapter, and I'd like to know if anyone has tried it--before I take the leap...

the KR808D-1 works for me, and Frank @ cig-easy, Ben@ vapornine, and Cletus@ misty-stix have all been super to deal with...

That's also a big plus for any new user...

    Great support.

Vaping that 24mg. Flue cured, what a rush !!

    Regards and thanks

I use the Prodigy most of the time BUT the KR808 is my main vape while driving and when dripping is inappropriate. I really get a long time on battery life because it is just my fall back unit. I have all the rest and the KR gets used the most. I really like the blank carts because my juices taste perfect in them. And the throat hit is really good too. Like someone said almost too harsh sometimes but it comes in handy too. Once you get used to them you will really like it. No more getting juice in the mouth either. I take two batteries and two or three carts to work with me and good to go for the whole day. I use both batteries an once rotating flavors as to not get tired of one and sometimes I will get two days of use out of them. That is just because when I get off work it is Prodigy time. Nothing beats the 5v device.

mine also last for about 12 hrs give or take an hour.. I purchased 2 from mist-stix.com and all others from nhaler.com , Drew at Nhaler has the shorter 2 hole batteries and the life on them are amazing!! LOVE the KR808 Drew also has Green cig carts that make for an adjustable draw.. there is NOTHING that puts out vapor like these!! Unbelievable! 5 pack for 15.00 bt sooo worth it and they are refillable!!!

Drew at Nhaler has a passthrough for these that make these puppies vape like nothing I have seen before! GREAT investment! It also works for my 901 which I hate the inconsistoncy of the battery.. but the passthough solved this..sooo worth it!! While you are at it get some High voltage juice.. creats CLOUDS of vapor at 1/2 the nicotine.. he has samples for 4.00, throat hit and vapor not effected!!

Kr808d1 automatic battery turned into a semi manual
That has completely spooked me out. Not really. I assume its something to do with negative air pressure? Very weird tho. It doesn't happen when you just cover the led end, it has to be the rubber cap.

Edit : It works on 901 batteries too unsurprisingly .
