    Default Puresmoker Penstyle

I have been smoking a Kissbox for a couple of months but recently switched to the Puresmoker penstyle with the 4 hole atomizer. The reason for the switch was that I needed to replace three of my Kissbox batteries and an atomizer and decided to try something new.

I was very impressed with the quality of the 4 hole atomizer. The heating element had that same cat's eye look as the premium brands. The vapor produced is excellent, at least as good as my Kissbox. After two weeks I have had no atomizer issues and it still smokes as strong as when I got it.

Battery life is good. I am a heavy smoker and a battery will last most of the day. This won't last forever though as experience has taught me that they weaken over time. Charge time is 4 to 5 hours.

It took a bit of getting used to not having the Kissbox switch but I don't miss it any more. Smoking it takes a bit of getting used to as too light a draw won't produce much vapor and neither will too heavy a draw. Once I got it right I was very happy with the vapor produced.

Overall I have been very satisfied with my purchase and feel that I got a good value for the price.

I've only just started e-smoking (yesterday) but have a feeling this is going to become a bit of a hobby. I'm using an NJOY pen-style right now, with Med. Vanilla, love it. Was just looking at puresmoker, all the flavors!! I foresee another penstyle in my future...

When you fill your own cartridges with juice, how many drops (I guess) do you use?

I only direct drip my penstyle from NJOY - it works much better that way, because the carts don't "wick" the juice to the atomizer near as well as the 901 models. I drip 2 or 3 drops of juice onto the steel wool of the atomizer. This equates to about a cig's worth of vapor.

With my 901, I just top off the cart with 2 or 3 drops when the vapor drops, or it starts to taste manky...

I have to agree about the Puresmoker atomizers. Very good performance and very few problems. I am rather less happy with the battery life, though. Mine dropped exponentially, and some batteries I have (none older than 8 weeks) allow me exactly 8 minutes of vaping before they die again. They all started out pretty good (except for a couple that had problems from the start and were replaced) but, inside of 2 weeks, all dropped significantly. This however, has happened to me also with the Janty Classic. I am stasarting to think that I emanate some anti-e-cig-battery waves.....

Maybe...just maybe...when we get our first ecigs, the manual doesn't stress the fact that we have to do an initial charge that is for like 10 hours....Maybe the manufacturers or suppliers should put those extra sheet of instruct that addresses the first charge of the batteries...since they come charged and the charger turns green after 4 hours...that that first charge needs to be for quit a lot longer....just a thought

Oh, I charged all of my batteries for 9-10 hours the first time, and ignored the green light.... I still ignore it, when after 1 hr. it informs me that my battery is charged (yeah, right), and I leave it there for at least 4 hours, sometimes overnight. I have 10 batteries between all my e-cigs, and some days I use 6 in a day.... And I am not even permanently vaping, either.... I find this battery issue very frustrating, really. I am pretty good with atomizers, though. I had one (congenitally weak) die on me with the JC juice. Other than that, my other aotmizers are still doing pretty well, some after 8 weeks.

I had an Njoy and sent it back because the price of the carts were outragous. I found it to be a good product but Puresmoker's penstyle is just as good at half the price. I don't fill the cartridge. I add 2 drops of juice directly to the atomizer and reinsert the cart. Penstyle carts don't get the juce to the atomizer fast enough. At the first hint of a plastic taste I add a couple of more drops. The same cart can be used for several days this way because it never empties out. It tends to absorb any excess liquid and makes sure the atomizer never runs dry.

You must be doing something differently or just be very unlucky. The only issue I have had with batteries is my Janty batteries are wore out and smoke production goes way down after a couple of hours. I was cycling through 4 batteries a day. New batteries last me all day but I know they will need replacing after a month or so. That is why I made the switch to Puresmoker. If I'm going to have to replace batteries and atomizers regularly, might as well use a brand that is less expensive.

JC juice killed several of my atomizers also. Been using .......... carts and dripping with Jane's juice and have had no failures since.

    Default battery maintenance

Has anyone found a way to "deep discharge" the batteries? Something that gets every last bit of charge out of them? That might help in battery maintenance. I was gonna try making some kind of rig to hook them up to a little motor, or some flashlight bulbs to really drop the output before recharging. I usually stick mine on before they flash to indicate low charge cuz the vapor can get really poor.

Somewhere in this forum I read that these batteries do not have memory, and it does not matter to fully discharge them before recharging them. I personally don't know about this, and perhaps your idea would help. So far, I do like e-smoking enough, love the various flavors, and get along reasonably well with atomizers. If I could only find a way to have my batteries survive a longer time, I'd be really happy. But, clearly, not everyone is having this problem, which means that may also get luckier in the near future....
