I got one just to check it out, figured if it wasn't the same, I'd just vape it to death. As it is it will be going into the M401 collection, to be used in places where I pretend to be suave and sophisticated or the Screwdriver would get me arrested.

Got the USB charger which I'm less impressed with, it doesn't have a LED to give you a clue about the charge level.

Took my Evos to a masque ball in London on Friday. Battery lasted all that night and well into the following morning - I was giving it quite a heavy time! My spare did the rounds of some other smokers present, who all seemed keen.

When I first had mine I was alarmed by the "fizz" of the atomiser, but this seems to have eased off lately. No loss of vapour or battery life, however.

    Are these re-branded M-401s?

I don't think that they are rebranded 401s, no:

Also if you take a peek at their web site they go into some deatil about the work they've had done.

You'll get a definitive answer from John at Intellicig.

Apart from the paint job, my Litecig 401 and EVO are identical, batteries, atomiser and carts.

I don't doubt that they look they same - but on the Intellicig web site they say:

" It features an upgraded pressure switch and a microprocessor that has been programmed to our exacting specifications in order to optimise both performance and safety. "

    and

"The EVOlution has a safety cutout feature programmed into its microprocessor. Sucking on the EVO for 5 seconds or more will activate the cutout which switches the unit off for 2 minutes. This is designed to protect the vapouriser from overheating and to protect the user from overuse."

These are things that you wouldn't be able to see from the outside, I suppose...and I don't have a 401 to compare it to. In the end you'd have to ask Intellicig for further details.

You are indeed correct, don't normally manage Leaford 5 second draws. I'm not convinced that this cutoff is a good idea. Oh it just came back again, didn't seem as long as 2 minutes but I didn't time it.

Anyway it does look as if the chip has been programmed differently, doesn't make a great deal of difference to me, both the EVO and the Litecig perform very well for a supermini.

I shall now become paranoid about taking too long draws on the EVO

Taking a five-second draw does make you feel like someone in a breath-holding competition IMHO I'm not sure about the cutout either - unless it protects the atomiser from overheating and therefore getting fritzed, in which case that would be a good idea

I'm now very green after taking so many long draws. I find it a bit inconsistent, sometimes it just cuts out after 5-6 seconds but it ready when you have recovered, others there is a definite cooling off period. Stopping the burning of atomisers is a good thing and until you pointed it out to me I didn't notice any problem, so there really isn't any problem I've some new style batteries for the 901 and they cut out after three seconds, that IS a problem.
