Anyway it does look as if the chip has been programmed differently, doesn't make a great deal of difference to me, both the EVO and the Litecig perform very well for a supermini.

I shall now become paranoid about taking too long draws on the EVO
Thanks to everyone who's bought an EVO, they are doing well and feedback has been positive.
To answer the main question, No it's not a rebranded 401, that would be a bit like saying the Brabus B63 is a rebranded Mercedes - well almost!
We based the EVO on the 401 but have made a number of modifications and improvements to produce what should be a good, reliable smoke, which is what we all want. You could take one apart and compare every tiny detail but it would require considerable skill in micro engineering and the necessary equipment to read the processor, that's what the Boss is exceptionally good at!
The Matt Black option is in production and the first batch should arrive in a couple of weeks along with Matt Black cartridges to match and the shorter batteries in white. All these are EVO friendly and fully interchangeable, so you could have a white cig with black carts if you like.
We have also been developing the cartridges and the new ones should have around 40% greater capacity in the same size cart, ie around 8-10 cigs worth of vaping and that's without making any fanciful claims. Anyone who has dealt with us knows we are a straight up bunch of people.
So if your family & friends are stuck for Christmas pressie ideas, send 'em to me!!
    Cheers.
    John.

The paparazzi have been busy in Scotland and within just hours have located the legendary Loch Ness Vaper hiding in the haze!

Here's my (nearly a week) update on the EVO.

This thing is still working great. Still producing loads of vapour. I was vaping it in the evening Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday and Thursday I used it all day at work (the batteries were needing charging today so I took my cigar with me instead ).

The battery life on this thing is excellent. I find that one battery will last me all morning and half of the afternoon. At that point I'd be switching to my third 901 battery. Considering this is a super mini I'm amazed at the battery life.

So yeah, great vapour, great battery life, refillable carts, I'd highly recommend picking one up.

BadSeed: Can you please also compare carts with the 901? I am very interested in this one.
If the batteries last twice as long, and the carts are twice as big, I'm getting one too

I guess to qualify that, you'd have to say how many carts/day you'd go thru with the 901, and how many with the EVO

The EVO carts last about 5 to 6 cigarettes worth in my experience, so four or five carts a day should do the job, same as the 901.

Quick size comparison for you. The EVO against a Superking (my brand of real cigs). They have got shorter batteries in the works which will make it even smaller (at the expense of battery life though).
