An Honest GreenCig Review
OK people we have all looked for it, and we have all wondered except for us brave few that spent the extra money, and I can tell you right now it is well worth it. I wanted to do this as a video review but with my crappy webcam it just looked like crap compared to these sweet HD reviews so I guess I will just have to rely on my witty writing style...yeah we are sooo screwed eh?
The GreenCig 220 Starter Kit comes with 2 batteries (long), 4 carts, a wall charger, and instructions in several languages, neatly packaged in a cigar like box as many of them are. The batteries had a charge on them but I didn't want to jinx myself so I charged it fully before using one for any amount of time. Of course I had to at least try the other one with a cart on it and it hit wonderfully so of course the next few hours could not go by fast enough.
Ah ha! The green light is on and we all know what that means! Vape time baby! I took the first hit and didn't get a lot of vapor and played around with my technique a little and was producing massive clouds in no time at all. There is a learning curve again with the GreenCig. Even if you use a auto battery all the time, you still need to make the slight adjustment to the style. The GreenCig has built in protection circuitry that shuts off the battery after either 7 or I think now it's 10 seconds, I find that a double drag is more than enough to replicate smoking a tobacco cigarette and the satisfaction that it brings. I say double drag but I suppose you could call it a primer puff, but either way it's great. The battery last a good long time, before needing a charge, the timing circuitry helps add to the battery life and it helps regulate your juice consumption as well which helps with the carts lasting longer as well as the batteries.
OK so we know that it hits nice, how does it taste you wonder? It's the best tasting E-Cig I have had the pleasure to vape on. Very smooth and rich flavors. Not overpowering but enough to know that they are there. It's almost like a velvety flavoring on the tongue, maybe it's just me I dunno. The taste is very nice though and I can't imagine anyone complaining about it. The carts last me a 24 hr period much as a pack of tobacco cigarettes would have so I have no complaints about that which was the biggest reason I didn't get one sooner. I simply did not believe that it could last that much longer than the 3 piece units but I was wrong, dead wrong.
The carts need to be talked about as well. They are technologically superior in every way to even the KR808D-1 carts. They are made out of a soft metal, not plastic. This means no plastic taste when you vape a little too much and get some heat going. It also means the things are tough little buggers. Taking them apart is really quite simple for one method of refilling. You pop off the plastic end, remove the O-ring, tap the cart on the table until you can grab the inner cart which resembles a small clear 510 cart. Remove the filler, fill with juice, insert filler, slide back in with filler facing the atomizer end of the cart, don't worry about the O-ring just toss it and replace the cap. Now the cap has to be oriented a certain way to allow the air flow but other than that it's quite easy and nowhere near as messy as the 3 piece models. You can also fill with a needle from the atomizer end but you need a big needle, the standard diabetic needle is too skinny in diameter and the liquid is so thick it takes a while to shoot in but it does work with some patience.
So we have covered the battery, the carts, the life of the carts and the battery, refilling them, taste, and vapor. What have we left out anything? Overall satisfaction? I would say I am very satisfied with the product and the purchase. The vapor is nice, thick, warm and tasty. The hits satisfy the cravings quite well in fact. The cost is reasonable with no monthly scam with carts or crap like that. The craftmanship is head and shoulders above the other models I have seen with the exception of the KR808D-1 which isn't so bad either but it's not in the same league as GreenCig with the technological innovations incorporated into the product. I would tell anyone looking for the best bang for their buck and looking to buy just one kit to get the GreenCig kit and they will have the best E-Cig on the market. These truly are the Rolls Royce of the E-Cig world, I would call a KR808D-1 a BMW, and any of the 3 piece models as Chevrolets. If you want to buy just one kit and be done with it then get the GreenCig kit, you won't be sorry.
I bought mine from Nhaler.com and I know of one other place that has them and that's Vapor4life.com, it's listed in their Specials area and it's the same kit I have. I'm serious people if you want the best E-Cig on the planet then get a GreenCig. I have not seen one that could beat it yet. I would put it up against ANY other 3 piece or 2 piece model on the market without thinking twice about it. While it won't outperform a big mod it is a class above the rest of the E-Cigs on the market.

Beautiful review Snarky! I imagine Steve and Drew will find themselves sold out of Greencig kits in short order after this. I have been wanting to try one of these myself, and you may have just given me another push in this direction! Out of curiosity, have you tried the GC carts on the KR808D-1 battery? What would you say is the selling point of the whole kit verses just buying the cartomizers and using them on one of your existing KR808D-1 battery?
ETA - one more question, and I am sure this question has been answered somewhere but I can't remember where. I know you can use GC cartomizers on the 808 battery, can you also use 808 cartomizers on the GC battery?
Thank you for taking the time to write such an informative review. Very much appreciated!

I've never seen a KR808D-1 cartomizer that didn't have a metal outer shell. Do they make plastic ones?
P.S. And aren't the internals (inner cartridge and coil pot) of the GreenCig cartomizer made of plastic?

Hahaa! I knew you would find me again my brother from a different mother! It seems you have the same weak will toward gadgets as I do. Ah well, us geeks gotta stick together so when we spend our paychecks on the latest greatest we can find each other in the soup line!

I was going to get one but vapor4life doesn't have Greencig carts anymore and may not in the futuure.
nhaler has slim pickings as far as Greencarts go so i will pass on getting a Greencig unless more us companies start stocking them at a more reasonable cost.

This is actually a good point for the moment. I think V4L is running out the remaining stock and then will be out of the GC market. Nhaler will continue to carry them as far as I know, but recently shipped the majority of their cartomizers back due to an issue with the latest batch. Drew (Nhaler) has said that he is working with the company to make new cartomizers using his own juice going forward. If that happens, or he gets a new batch of "good" cartomizers in, this is a more viable option.

Yes, Drew has sent Nhaler Lung Juice to the company so they can fill their carts with it, this is going to be the bomb. Yes, there are some plastic parts on the inside of the cart, the part that holds the filling is plastic as is the gasket. When I say it's made out of metal I am talking about the body of the filter, it's made out of soft metal that is fairly easy to cut but strong.
V4L has sold out I have no idea of what their business plan on these models but as far as I am concerned they are the best out there. I have tried a few different models and this one is the best.
KR808D-1 battery can be used with GreenCig carts and vice versa so in answer to your question you could use GreenCig carts which is really where a lot of the technology advances are in this unit with a KR808D-1 battery and if it fits a KR808D-1 then you can use a 901 with it as well I believe since you can use a 901 battery with KR808D-1 carts.
And I stand a little corrected since the KR808D-1 also has the metal casing as pointed out, for some reason I had it in my head they were plastic. The KR808D-1 is the 2nd best engineered cart I have seen and as far as ease of refilling it's a nice and easy one to refill. I have started using a needle to inject the liquid into the GreenCig cart rather than taking it apart to fill it. The first one I did take apart I can't get to work anymore so the hell with that noise these are too expensive to play with right now for me. I only have a few on hand. The needle trick worked but for speed I would recommend a meat flavor injector needle rather than a hypodermic needle, the hypo needles are too small to let the juice flow well, it's a little slower process but still easy and no mess. Glad to be of some help with the review. I have thought of ordering 200 cart or something from the manufacturer so I have plenty if other GreenCig users are interested in a bulk buy with me let me know.
