Soooo glad I found this thread! I've been around for about a month and just realized this is THE place for the 401s, et al. I ordered my first 401 from AEC and got it in about 7 days. Neither of the batteries nor the atomizer work worth a flip! I emailed AEC and never heard back from them. I haven't pursued it. I ordered another 401 from dietsmokes and received that one quickly too. One of the batts worked good the other same as from AEC. I also ordered an extra atty. I emailed Parked about the batt and he sent me a new one.

Long story short...out of 5 batts and 3 attys I have 1-1/2 batts and 1-1/2 attys. Not too good a run .

But I really like it when it works. I've about decided to try a 801 or 901, but I want a 401 that works! I saw where someone (can't remember who right now) has a USB passthrough for the 401 and think I might try it, but it's pretty expensive.

Anyway...just glad I found this thread and you experts

Again I could probably start a new thread in the specific model section, but this thread seems more active as always. Anyone have trouble with a DSE401 battery in the M401 charger? I might have a dead on arrival, but the light stays green when I attach it (I know this seems like a problem but I don't trust the lights on the chargers) and the DSE401 batt doesn't seem to be getting a charge. BTW for those still wondering the DSE401 pass through works great on the M401 atomizer. Between that and dipping I dont want to put batteries and carts on ever.

Looking for an update on the pasthrough.. Is it still working well for you? Any issues? I will be able to order more supplies on the 8th and i would really like to try this.

still works great, I use it 8hrs a day, and I have not burnt out a single atomizer while using it.

Just want to say thanks to all who have posted such great info on this model. Mine finally arrived today and am SO looking forward to giving it a whirl in the morning when the battery is charged up. Had a penstyle that I really loved but landed up having so many problems (not the ecigs fault, the operators fault, I'm sure!) that I decided to just go with another model. After reading numerous threads and seeing that this one seemed to be very active and, for the most part, 'beaming with satisfaction' decided to go with the M401. Am hoping that it doesn't have too gross of a primer vape to get through before the good stuff starts happening but am so glad to be able to put down these stinking analogs again! Also great to know that, if I run into problems, if I don't find the answer somewhere in this thread, there are a lot of great people more than willing to help.

Cool! Another person who uses and likes the passthrough! If I hear nothing bad by the time the 8th rolls around, I am grabbing me one of those babies

I am almost 3 days cart free and exclusively dipping. I feel like a child in a candy store learning on these forums, and the thought of the passthrough makes me giddy! Maybe vaping candy flavors as apposed to tobacco and all it's crap can make one giddy all by itself? Naaww... it's also the geekgasm factor.. replacing old rituals of habit and creating new ones that are far more fascinating than lighting up and smelling like an ashtray.

I am focusing all my energy(time and $$) on this unit to get maximum performance and longevity out of it.

The screwdriver is awfully sleek and sexy though... and the Totally Wicked unit with the little devil on it. Gaaaah... must.. stay ... focused... Don't wanna get caught up in the pokemon syndrome! Must watch my budget by staying focused!!!

I just want a LOT of quality backup parts for this one... and juice.... and I tend to babbletype~_*

I would appreciate that since I would hate to send it back if it is working. I was looking at getting another charger anyway so if thats the issue I will just get it sooner than later. Any idea if the DSE401 charger can charge m401 batteries?

You ordered an extra atty?? How long ago did you order from dietsmokes? I received mine from there on the 18th. I really wanted to buy extra atomizers when i bought the unit, but when I try to add on to the cart, it said out of stock... but I like the colored band so I went ahead and just ordered the starter kit. All the colored atty's were out of stock.

I have been back several times including a few hours ago and the attys are always out of stock... which is why I am waiting for some from china. That was the only thing I am disapointed about.. I really wanted more than one atty from there... the red one just looks neat. But here I am with only one atty Maybe someday I will see them in stock, but it's really too late as I invested in attys elsewhere. I could have gotten an m401 cheaper elsewhere, but I like the look of it. Once I get my other atomizers, it won't be the same.

yes, I know for sure you can charge M401 batteries with the DSE401 charger.

I ordered the starter kit from Freedom Smokes and refill cartridges and just got a notice that they are sold out of the refills. I just dont seem to have any luck! Do you happen to know anything about when they are going to get more in or where else I can get more refills?
