Nikko, can you tell me how sensitive the batteries are? I prefer the 901 style battery which doesnt go off from loud noise or wind. My m4xx series always burns the hell out of my leg in the car and even sometimes at work which isn't a very loud office.... If it werent for the overly sensitive batteries in the m4xx, it would be my only e-cig, however the 901 battery cant be beat at the moment. Some of the m4 batts seem more sensitive than others, however they turn on in the car.

Am using the M-401 my first Ecig it has not let me down yet. But all am wondering it what's all the hype about 501 ? I mean almost half the post on the entire forums has a word about 501 is it better? Then again since my little M401 has not given me problems am looking at the M402 which is just the same E-Cig with a different design, Guess i'll order the 502 just curious on what the hype is all about.. But am getting good vapor so am still confused

Well, I would say they are somewhere between the Blu, which will go off if you whisper next to it, and the 901, which you pretty much have to inhale on it to activate it.... so, it's a little sensitive, but not THAT bad.
OK, I just compared it with a 401; I held them right next to each other and started blowing softly toward the LEDs... as I increased the velocity of breath, they both lit up simultaneously. I repeated the test several times with the same results, so it's about the same as a 401....
Even in the manual, they suggest unscrewing just a bit to break contact between the battery and atomizer to avoid accidental burning.
WillMill, I haven't seen the super-mini ecig yet that is as insensitive as a 901
If you think your 401 is bad, you should try out a Blu or 8084.....
They're both REALLY sensitive to wind or music, especially bassy music.

That's strange i try blowing on mines w/o making a cone around it with my hands and it doesn't light up also i did turn up some music and nothing happended cept when i cranked the bass it just blinked and that's it..Only way it did light up was taking my hand and making a cone then blowing into it.. I use this method btw to dry burn my atty when it start to taste bad.. But even tho like Nikko said it is advise to un-screw it a bit. I been doing so since i got mines.

They have came out with manual m401's. I'm loving mine.
You could grab one of those and take it out to the office instead of the auto.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I plan on picking up some manuals, however I like the auto mainly because it is like a real cig. I have 401, 402 and 403s. The only difference is the batteries size. I have a couple of each, total my wife and I own about 20 e-cigs of a few different models and 4 different mods. I normally do unscrew them in the car, but because the m4xx and m201 use a mic style switch, my batteries die very quickly in the car without being used due to the sensitivity if the radio is turned a quarter of a notch up, or a window is down. All of my M4xx and m201 are very sensitive, I guess I would never even consider a Blu or the 8084 then if they are really worse. I will try to take a video with my camera to show how sensitive they all are. I really wish they would come out with a super-mini with a 901 battery style. Once again, thanks everyone for the replies and thanks Nikko for the video. I really do enjoy my m4xx's, but that is the only downside.

need to know! (At least this one does

I picked up a silver auto to go with my dragon.
Both manual and auto are only a week old so perhaps it's new battery awesomeness going on also lol
Honestly they seem about the same (auto seems to last a hair longer but not by alot)but the manual has the obvious advantage of not coming on till you push the button.
I like both but the manual dragon goes out and about while my silver one stays home where I don't have to worry about it going off and draining the batt.
Oh almost forgot to add.. the manual's aren't sealed, they still have the open hole in the battery for air flow so you still have to be careful if you drip.

My solution to this was that I got a couple of batteries of these really cheap Health E-cigarettes and use those batteries in the car. They have a suction switch.
