As I read other posts/reviews on this forum, eGo users claim it has increased flavor and performance over other 3.7 batts/PVs. Perhaps the
atty cover/hood (restricted airflow, temperature containment, etc) makes a difference. So I thought I'd ask the question directly to a poster who has an eGo and cartomizers.
No problem.. I get the question.
I have one on order myself.... so I'm hoping to know a bit more in a few days myself.
I'm looking forward to seeing what the actual loaded voltage of the PV is. I know that my traditional 510 batteries sag to about 3.0-3.1V when they are looking at a 2.5 Ohm load. My guess would be that the 650mAh battery won't sag as much due to the lower internal resistance. If I can pick up an additional .1 or .2V, I think it would be an enhanced vaping experience.

Puffs - depends on how full the cartridge is and not on what battery are you using it with.
Hi, no as you'll see in the other reply, they say 200 puffs per cartrage. Perhaps they ment you can have 200 puffs with refills inbetween before you have to chuck it away, LOL!.

Well, I think 200 puffs is a bit of a exageration, unless you count the puffs where you are hardly getting any vapor at all as "real" puffs!!
Yes, it's got the manual bat, and even the bat doesn't get close to the clame in the manual. I must point out that the Dura-C has been re-branded in South Africa as the Twisp Dura-C. This has been taken directly from the training manual on their .co .za site, and I feel it is mis-information to say the least
"The Dura with its high capacity 230 MaH batteries delivers over 200 puffs per charge, and
200-250 puffs per cartridge.
The coil filaments of all our atomisers are sourced in Sweden and are unmatched in smooth
and abundant vapour production, setting Janty and Twisp products apart." Haven't I read somewhere that the Dura is made in China or something? where does Sweeden come into things then? I also have a NCyg from NJoy, and frankly, my results with that one is much better, although it's the pen style with bigger carts etc. That's why I was interested in the Ego since it's also available here now, but if it is also going to last me about 20 puffs per cart, I'm not interested. Thanks for your time.

The thing stopping me from cartomizers as my main vape is that they hit so weak for me on my adapted 510, and from what I hear, the 808 batts are no better. I've stayed away from HV mods because of the larger form factor.
If I could just boost the performace of a cartomizer without having to use a large HV mod, I'd be set.
Thx
Forget the 808 batts, personally I hate them!
I prefer carto's because they hold more juice than the stock 510, and I also like the caro's design. it's basicly a long wick with the heating wire
running it's entire lenght. The Green Smoke carto's soak up like 3cc of juice (putting in slowly) before pooling and saturation (and dripping out the other end).
Now, what all do I need to buy (adapters and such) to make this work?
I mean, using either 808 or Green Smoke carto's on my Prodogy?
I do not see any kind of adapters to screw into the Prodigy's batt for any carto's.
Does anyone know if there is such a thing?

I believe that would be the 901 adapter .... least that's my understanding ....

Thanks, I actually had that adapter and did not know I had it!! LOL!!
Okay, so I tried the 808 cartomizers on my Prodigy, but not very impressed. Did not get much vapor out of them.
Maybe I will try different batts next time, but it was nothing like direct
dripping right onto my 510 atty, which produces thick clouds of vapor.
Seems to me, that 5V is just too much for some types of juice too, like
it "cooks" out the flavor or something!
I have been getting better, smoother, cooler and consistent drags using
a 3.7V batt, and almost as much vapor as a 5V.
Awayway, I am loving my eGo more every day! I think this to be the closest to the best all-around, dependable PV available.
I almost never get that "burnt" taste, and all kinds of different juice
works very well, the sweet ones as well as the tobacco flavors come
through very well.
And, unlike my Prodigy, the switch has never failed me, and I love the
sleek look of it
So far after tring Green Smoke, 808, 510 and of course the Prodigy, this
is the e-cig I would choose if I were only allowed to keep one!!

A word of warning when using an adapter and KR808D-1 cartomizers on the eGo/Tornado:
You may notice that the cone fits pretty tightly around the cartomizer (especially if the carto has a thick label on it). Remember.. all of the air for your inhale has to go in-between the carto and the cone.. there are no other vent holes on the eGo. So if it fits really tight.. then it is dern near an air-tight seal. The draw will be quite hard and you can easily overheat the cartomizer.
Fair warning.

Thank you for mentioning that. Cartos are my daily staple and I was wondering about the eGo. (I think I'll wait for the Mini-T for a small long-life unit.)

Interesting. I'd be curious too. Might this partly explain why people feel 3.7v mods give a 'better vape'? (Beyond the battery life advantage and slower drop-off.) I basically assumed that 3.7v=3.7v and went HV right away.
For what it's worth in this discussion, I use KR808 cartomizers with 20-30% VG liquid in my Xhaler (HV...whatever the voltage, I like it) and enjoy them immensely, with good vapor, outstanding flavor, and adequate throat hit.

Sadly, I didn't pick up the extra .1 or .2V with the eGo/Tornado. Under load mine are still 3.1V devices. A little disappointing actually.

Thanks for the quick (immediate) follow-up on this. FWIW: In a related thread, another eGo/Cartomizer user actually peeled off the cartomizer wrapper/sticker; and it fit inside the cone a little better, and improved the airflow. However, as i understand it, a carto without its sticker does not make a very comfortable mouthpiece.
