My quest for the perfect PV. eGo impressions
Got my new Janty eGo yesterday and have been vaping it exclusivly.
When it came, the batts where about 80% charged and ready to go.
Using regular 510 attys and carts (I pull the white "fluffy" stuff out and
replace w/ blue foam) I loaded up with one of my favorite e-juices and
started vaping.
To compare, I had some other fully loaded e-cigs; my Green smoke w/
the long batt, my Joye510 also with the long Mega batt, and a 808 Mega batt w/ cartomizer.
For pure quantity of vapor, the eGo was equal to the fully juiced and charged GS. However, after several puffs, the GS's output of vapor goes
down quite a bit. The eGo maintained the vapor quantity better. So the eGo beats the GS (except for the first few puffs).
The Joye 510 w/ Mega batt comes in 3rd in terms of vapor quantity (BTW, I am vaping tobacco flavor pure VG). I can get several drags on this before the amount of vapor decrease is noticable, but for me the GS beats it.
Coming in last was the 808 Mega batt / cartomizer. Even freshly charged and juiced, I just could not get anywhere near the amout of vapor as even the Joye 510!!
To be fare, I just got the 808 batt yesterday also and put it on charge before use. I dont know if it's really fully charged or not.
Another thing I noticed on my 808 batt is that it's hard to screw the cartomizer on it!!
Unless more charging will help the 808's vapor production, I will be very dissapointed
When driving, I like a automatic batt.
I like to stick the cig in my mouth with both hands free, and when I want
a puff, just suck!!
Plus, there is the "look cool" factor, and having the GS w/ the long style batt hanging from my lips (wearing my sunglasses!!) satisfies the cool factor for me
But, for a e-cig that is reliable and gives you good vapor for a long period of constant use, the eGo is a winner.
I did not compare my eGo with the Prodigy 2V, I just didnt think it would be a good comparison
but, I think my tobacco VG "tastes" better when vaped through the eGo (maybe its just me!!).
For some types of juice, it seems that the Prodigy (5V) cooks the flavor out
The eGo also has a "elegent" look, and apears to be very well made.
I heart my new eGo!!
So, what do I buy next?!

Hi, got a Dura-C last week, and can't get more than 20 puffs out of it. How does the Ego fair? Any where near the claim in the manual of 200 to 250 puffs? Thanks, Thys

You have manual batt for your Janty Dura-C?
Is that the one that only has 2 vent holes in the atty, which makes it
burn up faster?
Well, I think 200 puffs is a bit of a exageration, unless you count the puffs where you are hardly getting any vapor at all as "real" puffs!!

Tuna, Have you tried a cartomizer on the eGo? I use a 510 mainly, but I like the convenience and flavor of the cartomizers. I use an adapter (510 to 808) from AltSmoke, and it works, but the vapor production is weak. I was kinda hoping the eGo would gibe the cartomizers a little performance boost.
Thanks in advance

I think you meant that Ego battery could be recharged 200 to 250 times, right?
Puffs - depends on how full the cartridge is and not on what battery are you using it with.

No, I havent, but I like that idea because I prefer cartomizers for daily vaping. In the evening, I like my Prodigy w/ 510 for dripping

If you do give it a try, please post your findings. This may just be the solution some of us are seeking.
The thing stopping me from cartomizers as my main vape is that they hit so weak for me on my adapted 510, and from what I hear, the 808 batts are no better. I've stayed away from HV mods because of the larger form factor.
If I could just boost the performace of a cartomizer without having to use a large HV mod, I'd be set.
Thx

You do realize that the eGo is still a 3.7V device.. right?

I do; which would make my request mathematically rediculous. I get it.
As I read other posts/reviews on this forum, eGo users claim it has increased flavor and performance over other 3.7 batts/PVs. Perhaps the atty cover/hood (restricted airflow, temperature containment, etc) makes a difference. So I thought I'd ask the question directly to a poster who has an eGo and cartomizers.
