Nicely done on the Video's. I agree that the 510 carts suck, but at least you can use the 901's with the eGo. I always took out the top mouth peice when using the 510 carts though. I did this because the juice seems to build up inside and causes gurgling until eventually the juice seeps out the top mouth peice. I didn't even know the juice stopper was removable until I saw this video because I never had any problems with it ever coming loose. Luckily I drip and Super T makes awesome tips for that

    Keep up the good work.

KingVapor, normally I would agree with you but mine's been draining the carts pretty well.... actually VERY well... when the vapor gets thin, it's drained

I've only used one cart that came with it; I've been refilling it. For once, it's not over-packed with polyfill and wicks the fluid like it's supposed to.

For the record, I have a Platinum Tornado; TW actually HAD some in stock so I could purchase one...

Its a non-issue the end piece popping off for me! Simply bite the end and off it comes! There is usually gunk under there so shove a tissue in from time to time Removing it doesn't seem to affect liquid in the mouth unless it is vaped horizonally or in bed hehe!

While it may seem like a non-issue to you, it was an issue for me. I don't think its actual juice that collects in that hollow point. Condensed vapor is more likely the culprit. The design is not perfect and as a result has a few issues. They may be minor to some, but I found it annoying. I'm just glad that super T makes a tip for dripping so I can toss those plastic pieces in the trash.

    Tropical Bob,
Thanks for posting the videos. I've been looking for something informal that compares the different types etc. to share with friends of mine who still smoke.

So far two of my friends are interested in trying out e-cigs and I think this would be a great way of introducing them to the medium.

I've been smoke-free (other than smoking an analog in between battery charges) for a week and a half now, ever since I bought my KR808D-1. Been seriously considering buying the Janty eGo because of obvious reasons - battery life, delivery, quality.

    Thanks again for your post!

    Happy Vaping!

edit- I didn't realize the thread was 4 pages long, just responded after watching the vids. Ahh well, it's written now.

    Hi Bob,

The history part was fun. And the alkaloid comments interesting, will have to go dig up that thread..

Some comments for those that may not know this if this is their first e-cig, and a couple for you, although you probably know it.
You commented about the need to replace the Ego/Tornado batteries - that's sort of a straw man - you need to do that on your penstyle as well as most e-cigs except for mods/battery tubes or boxes (with the Janty stick being in the latter category, obviously). On the few units (not your penstyle ) that allow for battery replacement with a commonly available battery, like the Janty Stick, Prodigy, Screwdriver, GG, etc - the batteries are cheaper than the Ego, but still have to be replaced with time. Even the custom batteries like on your 801, the 401, 510, etc - the batteries run around $10 +/- a bit. The Ego batteries cost roughly double. I don't think we can say which will last longer, but I have many 510 and other batteries still going strong. I would prefer the Ego had user replaceable common batteries, but it's not a deal-breaker for me.

I think the real source of your dissatisfaction with the Ego is simple - you like to chew on your e-cigs or hold them in your teeth, no? I'm assuming that's why the preference for the whistle tips, as well as your 'safety issue' with the 510 cart coming apart on you. (For anyone reading, the Ego uses the same atomizer and cart as the 510/Titan/Dura/Yeti etc). If you chew or put a lot of pressure on the 510 (or Ego/Tornado, etc) carts, yes, they can come apart, depending on how much pressure. I don't believe I have ever had one come apart on me with owning 510s for over 6 months.

You could always get a 'cart condom' from a KR808D-1 cartridge, pop a hole in it, then slide that over the mouthpiece of the 510 - that gives you a soft tip that you can bite into to your hearts content. Of course, in a society where people try to [b]sue[/b[ each other over coffee being 'too hot' (surprise?), or where they have to label desiccant packages with 'do not eat,' perhaps someone will prove the ultimate stupidity and sue over another common sense issue such as this? Sorry, it's just exaggerated IMO. You can also simply remove the end cap from the 510 entirely, although you *may* get a little bit of juice in your mouth now and then, depending on how hard you draw and how much you fill the carts.

You can also easily stretch a soft-tip penstyle mouthpiece over the end of a 510 or Ego/Tornado (Totally Wicked sells the Ego as a Tornado), thus "saving you" from "certain choking death," ( ), as well as giving you a penstyle mouthpiece. A 901 or J-118 whistle tip will also directly fit inside the end of a 510 mouthpiece, if you remove the end piece first.

Love the cigar case idea, btw. I'm a little tongue in cheek on my comments, just want to make sure people realize some of the "rest of the story" and have a little more information before thinking they might instantly choke by trying an e-cig, or that the batteries on penstyles and others are easily user replaced, etc.

I believe I bought my 100 cart pack with soft tips from ruyan or heavens gifts, as 801 carts.

Wegster: I was sent a model from the first batch Janty received and, at that time, was told there would be no battery replacements. The two batteries provided with the unit would last about a year, then the entire unit would have to be replaced.

That made no sense, economically, and changed about the time I posted my videos. Replacement batteries can be ordered. They're beautiful, last me at least 10 hours per charge under heavy use before needing recharging, and cost a tad more than batteries for my 801, 510 and 901 units.

The more I use the eGo, the more I like it. I waited a week before beginning to formalize conclusions, but I'd be even nicer to it now. It produces better than my Kissbox or JantyStick -- and that's saying something.

The one point of contention I'd make is that the tip coming off IS a big deal. Without the tip, the metal end becomes a hole-puncher. Should the end be accidentally poked into your face, for instance, you are going to need an emergency room and some touch-up plastic surgery. I don't care about fluid. I care about danger. And it's not swallowing a tip that worries me; it's sucking one into my lung pathways. The design is seriously flawed and needs immediate attention.

But you're right about me chomping down on e-cigs. I do. Guilty as charged. The eGo is heavy to hang between my teeth -- but I do it anyhow. Old habits die hard.

BTW...I bought an adapter for the eGo to use the 808 cartomizers and it works great even with the sleeve/cover in place.

I made the mistake of reaching for an eliquid bottle while using my mouth to pull off the 510 cart....ugh! the plastic was very brittle. Are there 510 carts with whistle tips? I seem to recall someone on the forum mentioning them can anyone give me a link?
