Janty Dura-C Review.
Joye510 MANUAL SWITCH AKA: Janty Dura-C
First you may have wondered why I haven’t posted a review about the new Dura-C. Well I just wanted to find out if worked well before I made a review for it. So I used it exclusively for almost 2 weeks. Note I said almost. The atomizer died before it’s time was up. I only used a fresh replacement Janty atomizer that I kept just for the Dura-C. I thought that the battery was dieing but I have found that the atomizer was the cause for the declining battery life. I have found that the Dura-C needs at least a four hole atomizer the survive. The Janty atomizer would get excessively hot. (Most likely contributing to its death.) I still had a Yeti atomizer sitting around and it was a four hole with two blocked off. The reason Joye blocked the holes was because the automatic switch version needed the extra pressure to function properly. Unfortunately it caused an over heat problem. This issue would have been caught a long time ago if the auto switch version worked right. I have found that a four hole atomizer (with all of the holes unblocked of course) runs much cooler and doesn’t seem to affect the performance.
Ok, I rambled a bit but at least it was on topic.
The manual battery is what the Dura-C is all about. We all know that the atomizer kicks butt and it gives an excellent performance. That is as long as it doesn’t burn out.
The battery life is ok. It will last me for about 3-4 hours if the atomizer is not malfunctioning. When the atomizer malfunctioned it didn’t even give me enough time to charge the other battery meaning it lasted for about 1.5 to 2 hours. Since I have put the new 4hole atomizer on it has gone back to the normal 3-4 hours.
I don’t like the fact that the PCC does not easily accept the manual switch battery. (as the Dura-C was not designed for it in mind for some reason) It will work for it but it is by no means reliable. I do not doubt that the PCC can be easily modified for the manual switch batteries. DO NOT BUY A PCC FOR THE JANTY DURA-C unless you feel like tinkering with it until it works for the C. I do love the manual switch thing but that is just because it makes the Dura function somewhat like it was intended to. I would love to see a reliable Dura auto switched battery that functions properly with no cutoff.
Summery:
Vapor production = Excellent.
Battery life = Ok. I wish it was much longer as there is no PCC for it currently on the market.
Atomizer life = Currently, Horrible. I am sure that it will improve soon. Just have a few as back up. The life span is at a bit under 2 weeks of chain vaping right now.
Cartridge life = Good. It does have a rather large cart for a mini but it will go through it very quickly. If you want efficiency go with another model. This device sucks down fluid but that is to be expected due to the large amounts of vapor it produces.
This is an excellent device but it still needs improvement. The 2 hole atomizer just overheats too easily and will cause premature atomizer death. (However the issue may be resolved hopefully quite soon.) It does chug down fluid quite quickly. So be warned but it does pay off. The vapor production blows other devices out of the water.

Awesome review! Thanks! I've been running the Dura-C through it's paces for about a week and a half now as well. I've noticed that the atomizer was getting toasty and was wondering how long it would put up with the abuse. It's good to know that it should be dying any day now. You are right, it vapes like a freight train though... Thanks again.

Unfortunately the Dura is still a device for people who are patient and don't mind replacing a $15 atomizer on a weekly basis. If you are willing to pay for performance, than this is probably the right device. Those who are looking for consistency and value should probably stick with their 901s.
Unfortunately, I am one of the dummies that will throw money away to have the best vapor!

I have to agree that the vapor was great....and the throat hit was great for me too. The batts were so-so....not long enough life for me. And my atomizers got really hot really quickly but I would give them a "rest" in between vapes, so they never ended dying.
Great review Devon!

That is why the warranty is a great thing. I do hope that Janty pushes Joye for 4 hole atomizers for the Dura-C very soon. It does make a big difference in how fast the atomizer gets too hot. And thanks for the complement Lu

I Wish I still Had it
I loved the Dura while it was working. Now all i have to show for it is one atomizer.
Waiting for replacements. I'm glad that i have my Npro as a backup.

I just got mine today and boy do I love it. I am somewhat new to e-cigs and it is much improvement from the smokingeverywhere piece of ..... as I got sucked into their marketing. I will have to reprot back to see how things are in the future but soo far there is a lot of vapor and again I love it.

Nice review, thanks. Looking forward to getting my Dura-C soon.
I'm wondering how easy it is to tell when the battery is exhausted? Is there an obvious point when was working full blast and then stops dead until it's recharged or does it tail off, giving you shorter and shorter hits?

Good review; I haven't had my dura-c long enough to say if what your review says is correct but so far I love my dura-C. This thing has the best throat hit I have gotten yet out of an e-cig. I'd love for the batteries to last longer but I honestly don't care because the throat hit is amazing!

It stops dead.
I am noticing a more consistent puff with the switch vs the automatic battery in a subtle way.....a bit improved if you will. This might be due to not needing to do a primer puff to get a really thick hit.
I've been vaping straight for the last 6 hours heh heh (with 3 batteries)
