Thank you!!!!!!!! Can you drip on these??

i thought my 2nd 4062 died on me and ive been really sad. i left it alone standing on end for the last few days and BAM! its back working better than new!
only strange thing is that the LED doesnt really come on nearly as bright as it once did. i can put the same LED cap with the same battery on a different tube and it lights up just fine.
who cares about the light, the cigar lives!!! this one made it 6 weeks before i had to give it a break, now it wants more! seriously...im choking on vapor, mmmmm.

I've just bought an e-cigar after (reluctantly) retiring my penstyles, apart from the USB passthrough.
For many months--since last October--the penstyles were great. They were the right size and weight and produced good vapour. Then, suddenly, the batteries started to go on the blink, atomisers started dying, whether new or old, and there were atomiser/cart compatibility problems. In the past few weeks, neither my Classic nor my black Midnyte have given more than a puff of vapour (and often after several mouthfulls of juice) although I could coax them to behave on certain days. I've taken to puffing on them to try and warm up the atomiser before taking a careful drag--when usually the battery cuts off.
The honeymoon is well and truly over
So I have bought a cigar for vaping away from my computer. Question: how long can I expect the atomiser (cigar body) to last? There is no way of cleaning it, is there? I don't drip but I top up my carts.
[EDIT: and yes, I know this is when people usually go and buy a screwdriver, but for those of us who don't drip, the mini atomisers are just too fiddly

needvapor: i got my 4062's from Crown7, but when i bought it in march the kit was about $55. i just checked and its now $99, so you might wanna check around some more.
as far as dripping to the atomizer, i only do that every so often. usually when im switching between tubes i'll put 1 maybe 2 drops on the atty and then use a fresh cart. when the vapor production gets a little low, i drip the cart with 5 or 6 drops and start huffing. after doing that a few times...i pull the wool out of the cart, put it in a syringe, and then use it to fill a dry cart. it seems to work and keep my juice usage at a minimum. i wouldnt suggest doing that more than twice though. theres always some liquid left over that just wont smoke.
from what i can tell after 3 months of vaping and only using 4062's the best hits that you'll get is either off a fresh cart or if you drip. if dripping wasnt such a pain in the a$$ id probably find myself doing it a little more often. but if you drip...be careful, if you let the atty get to dry you'll burn it out quick just like with any other model.
Denni: i had a total of 5 4062's. one came dead out of the box, 2 came with the brass rings the cart screws into loose so the supplier was kind enough to send extras at no cost to me.
my first atty lasted just over a month and might still be working had i not decided to clean it. i tried using a suggestion someone here had made about running warm water through it and then letting it dry a few days, but it killed it. it still wants to work, but it also still acts like its clogged with water.
my second atty im still on, i thought it died, i gave it a rest for a few days, and it came back. so ive still got 2 more spares to go.
my advice: about every 2-3 days, take it apart, stand it on end with the cart end down and let it drain overnight. this should keep the juice from getting into the sensor and frying your tube before your atty has a chance to go out.
all in all,im quite happy with my 4062's. i am about to pick up a 510 with a few manual batteries soon though. i need something smaller for going out purposes.

You can get no nicotine carts from people who sell carts separately. In fact the starter kit comes with one 'high' (18mg/ml) and 1 zero nicotine. Some suppliers also sells empty carts.
sinner: I will probably not try to clean the atty but rather change the carts before they become too gunked up. At the price, I expect the cigar body to last about a month. I've already had one lame battery out of the box. Are the batteries (lithium rechargeable) available in hard-ware stores?

These RN4062 devices really are wonderful when they are working. Mega vapour, mega throat hit, long life battery and they look great! Unfortunately I have not been so lucky as both of mine stopped working due to a faulty switch after a week or less. My supplier is always out of cigar bodies grr! I gave up on them and have decided to give them another go sometime
