Quitting update, if anyone's interested!

Day #12! I haven't made it this long without a cigarette in years. Today was tough, too. I got stuck downtown, lost on the new bus mall layout, and both my back-up batteries died, along with my atomizer, which seemed to be clogged up or stuck somehow. I made it home without stopping at a store to buy regular smokes, though I admit the thought crossed my mind.

The only thing that sucks is the crap I still take from friends and family about using e-cigs: They feel I'm not really quitting since I'm still sucking down the nicotine. How is this any different, though, than using the patch or gum? Argh. I think people's perceptions are just influenced when they see me happily "smoking" away. It's like they think I'm having too easy a time of it. Maybe I am.

Anyway, still happy as a clam with ze e-cig, glad to be quit and thinking it's gonna stick this time. Thanks again for all your support, love this forum.

I know! The pleasure Police are everywhere! What is wrong with having an easier time of it? What is so bad about the pleasure of smoking with out the health problem? The experts say quit smoking tobacco, not quit using nicotine. Good luck, keep it up!

I am amazed also. I am 84 days without tobacco. I took about 4 drags on a cigarette about a week into vaping and hated it. After trying medications and gum, I had little hope that I would be able to quit, but this has been so easy for me.
