How much counterfeit tobacco out there?
Hi,
How much counterfeit tobacco do you think is on the market and is it crap. I buy in pubs and sometimes it just smokes weird and smells of perfume.
What makes counterfeit tobacco different to normal tobacco

Cos the forum is about e-cigs.
Nicotine is a legit topic, but the focus isn't on tobacco as such. Or other smokeables.
It's like mixing up Men of Kent and Kentishmen I guess

Fair enough old boy.
I smoke e cigs and also cigs.
I just wondered if counterfeit is huge.
To be on topic you could ask whether e cigs are counterfeit as some are absolutely crap.
Sorry for asking the question,

Sorry for asking the question,
I think some e-cigs are unreliable, electronic - have you found some you like?
This is a great forum for reviews and comparisons and for finding reputable suppliers.

Dunno about counterfeit e-cigs, but I guess some of the more experienced forum members could enlighten us without defaming anyone.

Fake cigs are about in the UK, but not in such massive quantities as you might think. Mostly cigs that taste bad are from Eastern Europe and are just old, leading to a degredation in flavour. If the packages are in English and look like British cigs packaging wise then the chances are they could be fakes if the prices are low and they taste 'different'. The taste problems are because they don't use the same quality of tobacco, nor the same blends as the legit manufacuters.
Searching on some of the B2B websites will show up loads of Chinese companies in particular specifically advertising that they can make fake cigs at seemingly excellent prices.
For the last couple of years I've been smoking legitimate european cigs (but not UK) and even they seem to have a slightly different taste even though they're manufactured in the same plant in as the British ones.
I'd suspect there are also companies out and about ripping off the e-cig designs, patent or not! It's just the way of the world..

Sounds like more good reasons for avoiding analogs if you can. And building up a knowledge base about genuine e-cig products.

I cannot mention poor e cigs but some just have no drag at all and you have to suck like you were trying to get petrol from a car and then the light flashes meaning no more drags for an hour or so.
But Mirage do a good e cig.
With regards to real cigs I bought a pack of tobacco but it definately wasn't the real thing as it was not rolly baccy but cig baccy all in bits.
I still smoked it as I was skint and had to. But the pack was totally original and other mates agreed it wasn't fine and wirey like virginia but thick like mashed up cigs.
They really know how to copy the packs.
I would say mirage is best but I haven't tried njoy yet. Njoy are supposed to be the best according to most.

Not much counterfeit tobacco exist. The tobacco that does is black market/organized. The FDA protect their interest in the market very well.
