I've done the hypnosis thing a few times, and each time it worked immediately: I'd walk out and not have a single craving. The hypnosis was one of those companies that comes to town maybe twice a year, rents a conference room at a local hotel and does a couple days' worth of weight loss and stop-smoking seminars. Can't beat the price: they charge about $59 and offer a lifetime guarantee. You're welcome to go back for free to any of their future hypnosis sessions. I've taken them up on it and never had an argument.
The only thing it didn't work for was the sudden, unexpected emotional upheavals where your mind tells you, "Go get some of your little friends, the full flavor cigarettes who've never let you down." So, one time after going about 6 months without a cigarette I heard that a family member was terminally ill. I bought a pack and was hooked all over again, but they got me through the turmoil. When I broke up with a girlfriend, same deal: right back to the analogs.
Now, with the e-cigs, I'm pretty sure that that won't happen. These things feel and taste just right. I'm a new vaper, but I've already tossed the analogs and have no cravings. I'm worried, though, that if I go to one of the hypnosis sessions it'll make me give up my 510, just when I'm learning to love it!

I tried it one time. It was expensive. It started with me and the hypnotist talking for awhile. I could feel this sort of "buzz" come over me, and I felt a little spaced out. We then moved into another room where he tried to spin this object with swirls and did some other stuff, but I just could not get hypnotized. Didn't work. Maybe I was resisting. Maybe I cannot be hypnotized. I don't know.
I would not recommend it unless you have a very clear agreement about payment. If it does not work, you should not have to pay. I ended up paying, because I was young and didn't know any better.

I have been to the group session, as well as a certified hypnotherapist ($500) and had no luck at all. There was no money back guarantee, but I think there was a free follow-up appointment. Never went to that...
