Default Quitting smoking with an ecig

Theres way too much information and products to choose from, i'm quitting smoking, the last attempt at quitting didn't go so way since i noticed its more about the habit then the nicotine, since the conventional nicotine gums and patches really didn't have any effect.

So i'm gonna give this e-cig a shot, since i would get to keep my habit at least for a while longer. But what to buy and where to buy? The amount of different kind of e-cigs is ridiculous, and what is this i keep reading about some products cause throat pain, so what im basically asking, if i want a e-cig that looks like a real LM cig, and is truly a healthy product which doesn't cause any side effects, what should i buy, and how strong should it be, i smoke about 10 LM blue's a day.

And do you recommend this product for quitting, or is it just a new addiction im taking on?

first off, asthetics dont matter, i originally thought that I wanted an ecig that looked like a real one, but I found out fast it really doesn't matter,
As far as taking on a new addiction, I would say that it is, however it is a safer, cheaper addiction to replace another (the lesser of two evils i guess)
If your looking to quit the habit all together when you order juice dont go more than 18mg and ween yourself down, IMO it definetly satisfies the habit, and is alot of fun,
Keep in mind there is a learning curve and it takes some time to get things working just right. I recomend a 510, probally the most popular unit, I love it!
I am almost a month in, and honestly dont have any plans on quitting vaping, but I am completely off tobacco and rarely miss it at all, I feel amazing, and my family loves that I look better and have twice the energy, and I no longer spend time away from them to go outside and smoke

oh sorry i forget to mention, best place to buy to start IMO
    heathcabin.net
there cheep and have good stuff if you go with a 510 i recommend getting
    510 starter kit
    PCC (A MUST!!!!!) or passthrough
some extra blank carts ( I recommend the flat tips)
atleast 30mls of juice to get you started (RY4, kent, 555, and marlboro are pretty good flavors. Im not sure what LM blues are but it sounds like a menthol, for that i will tell you menthol vape is very minty (reminds me of newports almost) my favorite menthol comes from Johnsonscreek.com (american made) there arctic menthol is very good< different for the rest
teabag mod is my favorite, but research some kind of mod that works for you (get away from polyfill its horrible (what it comes with)
Shipping is expensive however, but there prices are the best, go with one large order to maximize shipping costs,
other good places to look: rockymountainvapor.com, and cignot.com

Regarding the throat pain...I never experienced it myself but the people who had throat dryness always say to increase your fluid intake. I to, at first, wanted a look-alike and got the SmokeStik (which I still use) but I also graduated to the manual 510.

I don't see it as an "addiction" per se, btw. It's a great alternative to real smoking. I sometimes vape 24mg juices...sometimes 0mg.

    Best wishes on your journey!

I second healthcabin and a sizable order, if you do end up having problems with throat dryness you can try a VG liquid such as ecopure

If you're worried about the initial investment, anything you end up not using you can sell in the classifieds here

I recommend the joye 510 with manual battery. I think this is going to be a good way to quit smoking, or rather, quit the addiction, as I don't think I ever want to stop smoking. It is my goal to get down to the 0mg nic and stay there. I like the relaxing effect of the "act of smoking" that the e-cig gives.

    Good luck!

While the 510 is one of the BEST available, you specifically requested something more cigarette-like. The 510 is kinda large, thick and heavy plus it uses a manual push button battery now (hard to find an auto batt for them now).

That doesn't mean the 510 isn't awesome... it IS near perfection... but it may not be exactly what YOU want.

I would suggest a good M401 model like the Dragon from truesmoker.com or their Trinity model. About the size of a 100 cigarette, slimmer than the 510 also. They come with auto batteries, so all you need to do is draw on it to activate. If you're always in noisy or windy areas you will want to go manual later though... and truesmoker is getting manuals in soon.

Upkeep is also easier on the M401 than the 510 as well because you can get toyour atty and unclog it/clean it easier.

If you want really small (more like a real cig), really lightweight, and convenient... go with Blu. Because of the size however you will NOT get the big vapor that the 510 or Dragon/Trinity will give you. If you smoke less than a pack a day and if you smoke lights.... the Blu will likely be enough to satisfy you though. If you are more hardcore... go with the Dragon/Trinity.

and just remind yourself it's not going to be exactly like smokeing analogs, and there will be a learning curb getting use to charging battiers, replaceing atties, dealing with cartridges and finding the flavors of liquid and nic level that you like the most.. Think the majority of us have gone through this and come out very happy for working through getting use to using e cigs...
