Gifting E-Cigs Good Or Bad?
here is my situation. My brother and I have been smoking for 20 years I came to this forum in may after seeing blue and SE advertisements all over the place..
I came here and spent countless hours reading, watching reviews and trying to find the best method to quit analogs.
in July I finally took the plunge and ordered a 901. I quit the next day. I learned the ins and outs of Vaping thanks to the wealth of info here on ECF.
My new discovery sent me on a buying spree and I ordered a 401, and a 510 and soon I was making my own mods..
My brother saw the benefits of PV's And I would let him try it out.. he raved about it so I decided to give him a new 510 kit with several bottles of juice.
he still smokes a pack of day and treats the PV as a toy..
so my theory is..
since he didn't pay or do any leg work for it he truly cant use it to quit.
Has anybody run into this situation and what did you do?

That's pretty much true with anything that someone doesn't have to work for/ Appreciation of it.
You can only run your own life. Maybe he will see by your continued using it that he might have been hasty.

He has seen the benefits first hand, pack and a half a day habit vaporized. I have learned my lesson and will never gift another e-cig to somebody that doesnt realize that it would be beneficial for them to use it.
I will just point them to ECF and let them do homework on their own...

I know a person who bought one of those overprices SE's. I think I might get him a 510 from Cignot, before he gets too discouraged. They charge 35 bux for an atty!!! crazy! But I definately wouldn't recommend buying for someone otherwise, cause you are right, if they don't have the inclination to get it for themselves, then they aren't ready to quit anyway

Well, in one case, I gifted to my dad, who was interested, but ultimately he said it just isn't working for him. I can respect that.
I've also gifted one to a close friend who liked mine and she has taken it up.
Both were for occasions (father's day and birthday respectively) where I would have spent the money anyway, so no biggie.
A sort-of exception: I randomly gifted a JC Welcome to e-smoking kit to a friend who had picked up an Njoy at a gas station.

I gave a complete 510 set, several batts, attys, 45 mil of juice to my son. He's tried to quit several times and, well, you know the story. Anyway, he opens the box and I'm waiting for the "Cool, thanks dad...." to come out. Didn't happen, you would have thought that I wrapped and gave him a live badger. So much for being a good Samaritan.

Give him some 54 mg from wicked and put some flavor in it and take off the wrapper and give it to him.
