If you weren't a smoker prior to ecigs than I can see a small point of their frustration, but it is still much better than smoking analog cigs. Did you max out your credit card on e-cig supplies or something? If that is the case then it's not the e-cigs fault, it's your own. Personal Responsibility.

edit: I'm only 19 so I can relate to the whole parental approval thing. My mother didn't even know I have been smoking since age 13 but I explained to her how my habit began, etc etc. She was very skeptical about the e-cig and thought I had just started dumping things into my body because other people said it was safe. I informed her that I spent countless hours doing tons of research before I decided to take the route to e-cigs. I told her everything about them and more, showed her tons of web pages and studies about pure nicotine and the e-cig.

At the end of the day, she still seemed a tiny bit skeptical (thanks FDA) but I did all I could. She doesn't finance me at all, I pay my own rent in my own apartment, I pay for my classes, and I pay my car payment, so even if she disagreed I could still vape at no cost, but it is important for me (as I'm sure it is to you) to have parental approval over anything, even if they have no control over it.

I would need more details on your situation to give you any further advice, but I am willing to help any way I can.
im 20 and i completely agree, i hated amoking behind my parents back, especially my mother, but after i told them i smoked more often, and now their getting me a joye 510 to at least cut the chemicals and tar and whatnot
