    Thumbs up

    Hello all,
I have been a smoker for the better part of 25 years and marlboros have been my brand. I have tried numerous times to quit using the patch and zyban and gum and so on. Nothing helped, so I quit quitting.I have just recently started vaping.. I did my research and decided on the screwdriver. I have had it since the beginning of the week and I must say, I think I am on the right track. I want to try some different types of juice but don't want to go haywire!!! not yet, anyway.
I really appreciate all the help that I have received from the users on this site and give big thanks to the founder. I haven't touched a cigarette in four days and am not as groughy, as I usually get away from cigs with any other means to quit. Thats a lot better than I can say for many years now and I owe a lot to running across this site and finding out what an e-cigarette is.
Anyway, I find this to be and hope this is a healthier alternative overall. I am not sure what the FDA is up to but rest assured, I feel that they are threatened by a product that will eventually shuffle to many dollars out of the usually u.s. market. Anyone with common sense can see that all the toxins in tobacco cigs( at least 700+) reduced to a fraction of a percent is more healthy than the real thing. I.E. - vaping should be considered the new real thing.
    Sincerely,
    TM

I quit. I think it was easier for me because I did some research on e-cigs before I actually bought one. Therefore I was able to determine which one would best meet my needs. I wanted a product that would replicate the sensation of smoking analogs as closely as possible so I went with a 510. I'm sure there are better products on the market but my research led me to understand that the 510 would be well suited to me. Other than a few minor drawbacks such as having to top of carts every 30 minutes or so and the short battery life I have no complaints. It performs well and I was able to quit smoking the day that I got it.

    Default Ways to improve 510

As far as topping off carts too often, look up the thread for "blue foam plug - the slug. Since I've started with the blue foam plug, it has made a huge improvement as far as that goes.. there's nothing better..

And for the short battery life, I'm looking into getting some 510 mega batteries from Totally Wicked (they're having a sale December 5 through the 7th (30% off!!) From what I've read they last twice as long, and only a couple dollars more (they have 5 packs for 69.00, but with the 30% off sale, way good price!!! even better than price of 510 regular manual batteries

I have finally quit analogs after a 35 year habit - tried all the other stuff that didn't work - hypnotherapy, patches, gum, Chantix... This is a heaven-send....

Smoked a half pack to 1.5 packs a day over 7.5 years. I am almost 1 week analog free, and I am not turning back. Vaping FTW!!!

I've only been on the e-cig for about 6 weeks, but quitting tobacco was very easy with them.

Although not a 'quit smoking / nicotine' product, they do require a mindset in that you do have to 'want' to get away from smoking tobacco. They are not the same as a real cigarette, but from the success rate and stories I've read on here, they are close enough, and in many ways better.

I tried cold turkey, nicotine gum, the worst of them was champix - I'd think twice before trying that drug, I think it should be pulled from the market altogether from my experiences with it.

Since I've quit inhaling tobacco smoke, I feel much better overall, and that's a good enough indicator to me.
