    Default Need help with tanks!

I just bought a LT and need to get flanged and punched cartos around 3.0 ohm single coil with a decent sized tank around 4.5-6ml. I see this stuff sold serperately but not together. Most are dual coil, which won't work on the older style LT's. How do I know which ones will fit which tank? I'm not looking for $30 tanks here, something around $10 would be ideal because I want to order a few. Also is there any clearo style tanks that would work well on an LT. Most of the good reviews I've heard about these are for egos. Any help again would be appreciated.
    Thanks

Hey Mud, Keep your eye on gotvapes.com this week. The revised Vivi Nova tank is due to come in with new heads and so on. The first version had a few issues for some people , others found it awesome. The Vivi nova vapes like a freight train.... You can read up on it in this thread.......Vision VIVI NOVA has dropped, In Stock Now, full kit, 3 ohm twist tops, metal tubes and parts

For single coil tank setups.... BUD 510 Tank Cartomizer [Single Coil With Hole]

I used these on my version 1 LT in a smoktank....

I also suggest getting a carto hole punch. The PG / VG ratio in your juice has a big impact on how well it will wick into the single punched hole in the carto. You can get 2 hole cartos also. With a hole punch you can either punch an additional hole, or increase the size of the hole in the carto. Takes a little dialing to see how many holes you need and how big they need to be for your juice and how hard you vape on it.

Since you're using a 510 device there's almost limitless varieties of tanks you could choose from. Why do you want to limit yourself to flanged cartos?

I'm still new at this.. Flanged just seamed "safer" i guess.. Less of a risk of it popping off, cause I put the thing in my pocket from time to time and don't want to worry. At first I thought tanks screwed together, I had no idea they just kinda sit on there. So basically the bigger/longer tank you have you'd need to get XL sized cartos? I've only order them from CCV so far and they specifically say "flanged and punched for the tanks I sell" But their tanks are 16 bucks and I've seen the same thing for 10. Also they only carry dual coil and LR, which I've read won't work. I'm sure vaping the LR ones at an actual 3.7 volts would be better than what an ego batt puts out.. It's just better to learn from someone elses expensive mistakes instead of making my own. LOL

Grommet style tanks tend to be the least likely to slide around. The flange only prevents the tank from sliding down, in reality so does your battery or mod. It can still slide up.

I"m not big into tanks, but I do use a Smoketech DCT dual coil tank. For $12.99 it comes with a flanged prepunched carto, doesn't leak, and feeds PG juice perfectly. High VG juice might need a hole enlargement, but I'd try it first before getting out the drill or the saddle valve.

In the higher priced arena, the Phiniac tanks are popular.

A good tight fitting pot bellied drip tip will help stop any sliding that occurs on the carto. I use this one. It fits very tightly, presses against the top grommet, and holds everything snug.

The flange is at the bottom, and really doesn't prevent the carto from "popping off" or coming out of the tank. I started using standard cartos, and the only thing I've had to do different is when replacing the carto, push it all the way up until it's at the o-ring. then, flip over the tank so the top is resting on a flat surface, and put enough pressure on the top so that it goes past the o-ring. The carto will be stopped by the flat surface, so you don't worry about pushing it too far in.

Two of my 7ml Tripple V pyrex grommet tanks. Grommets function as the endcaps. These suckers are sturdy and pocket-worthy. And being pyrex they are safe with all juices. Filled by inserting a blunt needle between the carto and the grommet.
