Default HELP! I want to order cartos...punched?

Just received what I believe is a punched carto sample...I really like it. I've always used the tank system until recently venturing into the clearos; really like them. Now I received a sample carto along w/my liquid order & I'm shocked by how much I like it. Soooo..after doing some research on ECF, I'm REALLY getting confused. The one I have has 2 holes in it towards the bottom - does this mean it should go into a tank? I filled it & stuck it on my ego (no tank) love the taste & the vapor is outstanding - also love the fact that I didn't have to use a syringe. There's a vendor here on ECF that seems to have a good deal going right now on Boges that I'd like to place an order with - last day today - no mention of punched or not. Should this be a concern? Sorry if this is a dumb question but......

Cartos with holes means that they can go into a tank, but I guess if you don't want to put it in a tank then you don't have to. If juice leaking out the hole becomes a problem, you can always just cut off the bottom of one of the carto condoms so it makes a tube and slide the tube over the hole.

If you want to use those Boges that you plan to purchase in a tank, then it'll be a concern since they won't have holes punched into it. But it sounds like you're fine without using your tank, so I'd say go for it.

Lighten....Thank you so much! I couldn't find an answer anywhere. I really appreciate your time & trouble. I thought cartos were basically the same as clearos....what about the cartos without the holes? Those are used without a surrounding tank aren't they?

Where are the holes located? If they are on the part of the carto that connects to the battery then that's normal. If they are on the carto itself then that carto is designed for a tank. In my opinion I don't see any reason to be alarmed.

I love my Boges. I just got some XL ones! I can't wait to try them

Hi Keekers...Thanks for the reply. I've found out that the one that I received was meant to go into a tank, even tho that's not how I used it. I've avoided cartos all along cuz it seemed that everyone complained about burnt taste & how many didn't work when they received them. However, I LOVED it even without the tank. In the interim, I've purchased a sub from M&P w/3. Boge in it - pretty awesome. Now I have to change the carto & I'm afraid I'm going to totally screw it up (high-tech 101 as far as I'm concerned). I just may attempt this tonite so wish me luck.......

You're welcome! That's so funny the carto didn't leak at all!

Did you try and change it last night? You'll get the hang of it! If I can punch holes in a carto with a hammer and nail then I have faith you'll do just fine

I did it!! (LOUD APPLAUSE - THANK YOU) I can't believe how intimated this thing had me - Hammer & nail is above my tech level but I'll probably give it a try soon - the punched ones that I've seen, seem to cost a lot more + the holes seem a lot smaller than the carto that M&P sent me. I ordered a load of cartos from CCV w/o holes - that's how much I like the carto - I can't believe it.

What size nail do you use to punch your cartos for tanks?

edited to add: does it matter?

lol it probably matters but I just took one that was laying around and used it. It's just a regular sized screw (if that helps at all). I also put electric tape around the carto before hammering because it helps to keep it from rolling.

Hey Keekers.....Do you have to worry about metal shavings going into it?
