Just got my first 3.5ml tank this morning and...

...I absolutely love my new little tank! I bought the 3.5mL SMOKED BLACK DELRIN DCT from CCV, but didn't use the dual coil in it due to my pv. Instead I got a resurrector meant for the tank and screwed it on my e-power. The flavor from my RY4 is just spot on, there are no leaks and it actually looks good on my PV. There is a small gap where the cone should screw onto, but I think I am just going to hack my cone in half to take care of that.

One side note. I noticed that if you try and run the tank on a low battery, not enough juice will be vaporized and the carto will flood. Must remember to not run my battery too low

Hoosier ecig sells adapters that make that gap look better (for 3.5 or 6ml tanks). I use one on my KGO sometimes. Mostly cosmetic, but it does feel a lil better in hand when using it.

Thinking of seeing what I can find at Home Depot, but not sure if it's worth the hassle. After all, it does not affect performance

my love for the tank has quickly faded. It was going so well, but now it doesn't matter if the batteries are fully charged or not, the carto is getting massively flooded. Major gurgling and juice in mouth

I have gone back to my fluxo's, which I have to admit after modding the nipple have become a really nice consistent vape with no gurgling at all....

Any ideas on the flooding or is this just a normal thing?

I am using 70/30 juice and the carto is only single punched with a really tiny hole.

Shot in the dark here, but how tight is your carto in the tank? I use Mom and Pop's Submarine tank, which holds really really tight to the carto (check out Pbusardo's review on YouTube).

Anywho, I prime my carto in the tank on the inital fill-up by removing the fill screw to let air in as I suck juice into the carto. It only does this if i remove the fill screw, thus releasing any vacuum effect. If I do it too much, ill flood the carto, as you've described.

So its possible you're tank isn't sealed 100%, thus never creating a vacuum, and always flooding the carto. Only logical thing I can think of anyways since you only have 1 small punched hole. Just my $.02 though.

That makes sense. It seems to have a good seal and there is no leaking around the seals at all, though. I did notice, during my second day of use, that I might have been taking too heavy of draws on it. I reduce my draw and just take a longer one and it seems to have gotten better. I am going to continue to try, as I do like how easy they are to fill.

I think I have, however, come to the conclusion that I like clearomizers more. My Fluxo Supremes are now broken in and give me a nice constant vape and the draw has no gurgles and I get plenty of TH and vapor.

Options are always great, though, so I will keep the tank in my arsenal

I've probably been linking this too much... But screw it I think it's a good idea.

Anyway if you have a 306 atty and DCC tank then you too can make an atty tank! No I'm not making any money off this, but it's been my go to now for over a month. Props go to MWA for the initial idea.

With the flooding... I do sort of regulate how wet my carto is in the tank by the type of hits I take. Long, slow ones will help dry it out, fast hard ones will let it get a little wetter (actually, if it seems too dry, I'll take a couple of dry hits to pull liquid in).
Also, refilling the tank sometimes will flood my carto. When I push the tank cap back on it makes pressure in there and forces too much liquid into the carto (I've noticed this is more likely to happen as the carto gets older). The solution is to fill the tank, then slide the tank up on the carto as far as you can without dumping your liquid over the rim of the carto, then snap the lid on (the carto hole is now below the tank/liquid), wait a few seconds for pressure in the tank to settle down, then slide the tank back down into place.
The third problem: smoktech cartos are cheap. Sometimes they just crap out on you for no good reason. A couple of days ago I popped one into my tank, filled the tank, and as I was dripping some juice into the top of the carto I felt liquid on my hand. Steady drip, drip, drip out of the battery connection. Tossed that carto and started over. I got another one all filled up in my tank a while ago, then noticed that the hole was drilled at the top end of the carto. Oh well, they're cheap. I expect to get some duds, but when they work I love them. They're worth the occasional frustration (for me at least).

I just got in my first Smoketek 3.5ml DCT tank and it works just fine with the carto that came with it. I'm using it on an eGo batt now, but will probably order some 3.0 ohm SS DCT cartos to use on the Provari. It works fine on the Provari, but why use 1.7 ohm coils when I can use 3 ohm at a little higher voltage?

So far, it's good to have on the eGo battery for a quick juice change vape here and there. The flavor and vapor are outstanding. So far, no leaks using the supplied carto that came with the tank.
