    Default Evods taste awful

I got some Evods and they make my juice taste awful. I have dry burned the coil, soaked in alcohol, and soaked them in boiled water. They still taste terrible.

Has anyone had success in getting rid of this awful taste ?

The ohms are anywhere from 2.4 to 2.8. I use an iTaste VV 3 and I set the volts very low to help with the taste. No higher than 3.3 to 3.7. But it still tastes off. I soaked all the parts in 50% rubbing alcohol but now I am wondering if I should have used 90% rubbing alcohol or just some vodka.

Oh and they are Evod clones from Fasttech.

Use 100% vodka or everclear. I would use a higher voltage. You may just have to redo the heads. I have heard a lot of people do not have good luck with the cloned evods and heads, they build their own.

What juice are you using. Once a head is burnt, the juice is usually not going to taste right no matter what so do not try to save it.

when you think about it...buying those evod bodies are cheap to buy from fasttech..so stock up with them..and buy genuine heads..i dry burn..and replace the flavour wick..for a few weeks..then break out a new head..$6 to $7 for a pack of 5 heads...very reasonable costs...

There is no burnt taste. It's more like a nasty plastic or machine oil taste. Metallic and disgusting. I'm thinking it would be best for me to put them away until I want to rebuild them. And before I do that I will soak all the parts in vodka. I am not is desperate need for them at the moment since I have 2 Hypertanks due in the mail in 4 days. It is a good plan to have extra heads because I could be a total failure at rebuilding. Not to mention I would hate to be out and about and pop a coil. Eeek!

My juice is 80/20 (PG/VG) from Mt. Baker.
