DNA 30 only fires at 3.4V

I might have fried the chip, but ide like to see what you think and maybe i can repair this.

dna 30 with two 18650s in parallel.
Fresh batteries. charged in pairs.

I fire it on atomizers between .5 and 1.5, always yielding a result of 3.4 volts. anywhere between 8-30 watts is 3.4v while 7-8 watts is 3.8v.



could this be a short in the chip?

what should i do here

sonds like the regulation circuit could be toast , have you checked all your wiring? also make sure the wiring from the battery to the DNA chip is thick enough , like 20ga wire. also what batteries are you using?

Does the ohm reading flash when it fires at 3.4v? DNA30 will not regulate lower than 3.7v (or battery voltage). I would start by checking the resistance in your output connections (wires, 510 connector and atomizer). If that checks out, I would say the chip is toast.

Mine dod thos anf evolv replaced the chip

Then again Evolv chips have always been able to fire well below those voltage numbers anyway.

For the OP: Sounds like the chip is bad, send it to evolv for replacement, and be happy evolv has its head in the right place to offer that service.
