Engraving My 1000mah Kanger Evod VV

I want to have my 1000mah silver Kanger Evod VV battery engraved with either my name or initials from an engraver like Things Remembered or similar store. I want to know if this is safe to do so first. I have contacted Kangertech, and haven't received an answer. Thanks for the feedback!

as long as you don't go too deep into the metal it should be safe. many mods and other regulated devices have engravings on them that re pretty deep. the engraving on my stingray clone has to be a good half mm deep. so as long as you stay close to the surface you should be fine

Thanks, Ryan. I had it done, but it's much smaller than I anticipated and you can hardly see that it's engraved at all. The engraving is very shallow, so I have no worries about battery exploding at least

I have a set of 4 basic evod batteries that I take to work, as a machinist... we have heavy duty air engravers at every work center. On a few shifts when my CNC was actually running along on its own I engraved all 4 batteries entirely, just enough to expose the silver under the paint. It appeared it would take an awful of heavy carving to actually affect the metal integrity! If you can find a place willing to engrave an item they didn't sell you I would think it all right.

Um... ok.. but.. these batteries are only good for 200 cycles on heavy vap duty and maybe ~300 on light-duty..


It's still kind-of a disposable in a way.

Why would you spend the money to engrave a $20 > e cig? I'm sure the engraving will cost more then the ego.

You can get a jwrap if you want to make it look different.

Oh, and I have perfectly working 1100Mah batteries almost 2yrs old. As you advance things tend to get abused less.

Hey it's your money... But it will die. If your gonna engrave, get a 14500 replaceable mech battery mod. About the same dimensions, and it'll last a heck of a lot longer
