IMO, while signing this petition my make you feel good, the most likely response from the White House will be something along the lines of "Sorry. Regulating tobacco products is the purview of the FDA. You'll have to take this up with them."
You would be better off to post comments to the FDA's public comment site once it is available.

I agree. Just about any issue can be "petitioned" to the White House. IMO they're mostly ignored. Gives the public a sense that they have a say or an influence in the matter, but in reality?...

I would sign it, if only for the very reasons jmur stated, but it's so poorly worded I just can't. People need to cool their wheels, sleep on it, and come to the table with fresh minds and firm demands.

I am waiting on casaa call to action they said would be posted as soon as all deeming regs were reviewed and what we need to fight against its good we are getting up to fight but we have to know what we are fighting against...can't go in blind guys. When casaa issues that call I hope everyone will be there fighting for what is a passion, love, and most literally a lifesaver.

Folks can sign it all they want. I've yet to see evidence that these petitions amount to much.

More effective would be contributions of money and effort to CASAA and badgering of your congress critters.

They should also read the proposed regulations, as well...
