Hello and my thoughts on Kanger Ni200 OCC coils

Hello everyone. Recently discovered this forum and it looks like it's going to be a really useful resource

I wanted to share my initial thoughts on the Kanger Ni200 OCC coils with you. I found some adverse comments in this thread but I can't post there as yet so I'll post here for now - maybe one of the mods will move it?

I'm using Kanger subtank minis with an SX mini M and mostly vape Halo liquids (currently on their Shamrock). Being lazy, I ordered a 5 pack of Kanger's Ni200 OCCs to try and the first two both worked perfectly new but after a couple of tanks, both stopped giving much in the way of vapour. Guess I'll stick to the rba for now unless anyone has any suggestions.

I haven't seen that problem with any i've used with a DNA. I haven't used a lot though. Maybe 8 coils. I don't expect much vapor from a Subtank Mini compared to other sub ohm tanks though and that could be why I haven't noticed what you're talking about. I will start paying more attention

I agree with op, rba with nickel and the right wicking setup and flavor is way better than any hit I got off the pre-made nickel coils.

Thanks for the replies. I'm guessing there's something inherently wrong with the Kanger coils which is a pity. Of course, it may just be a bad batch - the Chinese aren't renowned for their QC.

While I've never used a premade nickel coil, I have heard good things about the new Atlantis coils.

The nickel occ coils seemed to last about a week for me. The seemed to gunk up faster than the regular coils. The flavor also seemed slightly off with them.
I just built my first nickle coil today in the subtank mini RBA. Can't say how long it will last, but the flavor does seem better.

I just started using the nickel occ coils and they do not appear to give the same flavor as the kanthal. Kanthal still seems to have more flavor to me. I am sure over the next year they will figure out the Temp control and nickel and it will boom.

Its all depend on the ohm..I'm also used the ni200..mine is about 0.15ohm..
0.1-0.3= more smoke less flavor
0.4-0.7 =just nice..
0.7-1.0= more flavor
