I've heard that it is best to store it overnight in an inverted position with the drip tip off. Is that the best way? Or is leaving it on my mod okay?

for bottom coil tanks like the nautilus, there is a coil at the bottom of the tank and there are holes for liquid to seep through to get to the coil.
I pressure builds up inside the tank while it is upright, liquid is forced towards the coil and the tank will flood/leak.

This can happen during temperature changes in the environment.
By storing upside down, it won't be able to leak that way

I don't see what difference removing the drip tip would really do, other than making it easier to stand inverted.

In general I've stored my Nautilus, full, for extensive periods (weeks) in all kinds of positions without any sort of leaking. Sometimes the first hit will be extra crackly, but that goes away quickly.
