Thanks for the answers guys, but what about the Efest 18350 800 man v1's?
Your Efest battery has a 6.4A CDR.

Everyone is free to set their own parameters, and I can only say what mine are.

I try to never exceed 50% of the CDR (continuous discharge rating) of a fully charged battery (4.2v). So with a 6.4A battery, that would be 3.2A. This Ohm's Law Calculator tells me that a 1.3 ohm build is as low as I would want to use.

The reason that I place a 50% limit is because as a battery ages the mAh of the battery degrades, as the mAh degrades so does the batteries c rating (amp limit). So down the road, a 6.4A battery may only be a 3.2A battery.

Once again sorry for the noobish question, but is this battery safe for usual builds? (not sub ohm). I have a genesis Atty if that makes any difference whatsoever.

There is no information about what brand of battery it is. It has a generic wrapper with printed information on it, so it is a big question mark. I would give it a strong NO and to stay away from it.

Unknown battery manufacturer, of unknown origin, of unknown quality. Generic batteries are a no no.

:nah: Wrapper says "Li-ion", so its (probably) a protected battery, but who can say for sure? -- not the correct chemistry battery for vaporizers.

:thumb: You want an IMR or Li-Mn chemistry battery. These are safe chemistry, unprotected, and high drain batteries.

Battery Basics for Mods: IMR or protected ICR? <--- contains a list of recommended IMR batteries and their specifications

When using a mechanical & rba setup what battery you need is dependent on the resistance range you intend to use.
The efest 800mah actually tests at 700mah or less, vape time will be very short before you need to recharge. Like 13 - 15 minutes of vape time short.
As with most efest batteries their specs are fictitious.

Wow that is short, what batteries would you guys recommend for a 1-3 ohm build?
The best available 18350 battery is the AW 18350 IMR 800 mah 12A (new).

However, its still just an 18350 battery and will suffer because of its small size. You can only pack so much chemicals into such a small battery. I recommend going up to a 18490/8500 or 18650 battery for longer vape time.

For 18490/500 size, the AW IMR 1200mah 18 amp battery is tops.

For 18650, any of the below for a 1 - 3 ohm build:

Panasonic or Orbtronics:
  • NCR18650BD 3200mAh 10A
  • NCR18650PF 2900mAh 10A
  • NCR18650PD 2900mAh 10A
