kangertech subtank

Got the kangertech subtank and I wanted to rebuild the rba deck but I can't unscrew the two screws at the top to put the rba tip connecter in. I don't want to strip them or damage the tip connecter on at the minute. Any help is much appreciated, thanks.

yeah they can be tight from the factory i would try and put the top in the freezer for about 10 min and try it again. hope this helps

I use the Subtank Plus now for large capacity and to NOT need to swap tops, but when I used the original Subtank, I never used that little blue screwdriver on the lid. Not enough torque. Use a screwdriver from your tool kit that has a fatter handle. Works much better.

Good tip. My screws were very tight and I had to use a much larger screwdriver too. That little blue screwdriver is OK for deck screws but pretty much useless for undoing anything else.

Oh must be the large subtank , wondering --- what screws. I have the mini.

The Subtank screws on mine had blue loctite on them. I boiled the top and the loctitie released. Screws then came out easily as loctite loses grip with heat.

Ended up taking it to the shop I bought it from and the guys swapped it for me and I have now managed to swap the tops and I have now put the rba in there, it's a much nicer vape

On the original Subtank, you had to swap top caps to go along with either the RBA deck or the replaceable heads. On your mini (and the nano, and the new plus) this is no longer necessary, so the top cap is fixed and there are no screws.

Never had an issue with the screws, but the plastic at the base of the deck has melted and changed shape. Is that normal?
