if anyone could also direct me in the buying process as i believe it is very different from buying a protank considering there are more parts too it
bumping, dont know ECF feels about that but looking to get some more answers as im planning to go out of town very soon
Well do you want cartos, or a carto tank?
Cartomizer( carto) is just a poly fill filled tube.
Cartotank uses punched cartos inserted into a tank.
I use boge 2.4ohm cartos straight, haven't gotten a carto tank yet.
But basically it's buying the tank and a few pre punched cartos to get going. Most cartotanks come with one or two cartos.

wow thanks for clearing that up yes a carto tank is prolly the more appropriate term
I sugest IBTanked carto tanks...about 22 to 25 bucks. Great quality, thick pyrex and seals from hell. Phiniac tank is great too, a bit pricey.
I use Ikenvape or Smoketech Cartos, single coil, double lazer punched (pre punched) cartos...flanged or unflanged doesnt matter...

I listened to what Mr Tude had to say and love IBtanked. They are nice people, easy to work with and sell a super product at an extremely reasonable price (plus they send it in a holder called a thingie which works great). Also really like Loki. They are about double the price of IBTanked, but it is also double the SS in thickness on the caps. That is just a user preference. But for the best quality with cheapest price, haven't seen anything that beat IBTanked. They have 3 size diameters and 2 size lengths to choose from. So make sure your carto size matches what tank you buy. I like the XL tanks, so buy XL cartos. Boge and Smoktech are all the cartos I have tried for now, but plan on trying all I can.
