hey everyone,
I have a sigelei 150 W box mod. Using two Samsung batteries and a regular old trust fire charger. I put my batteries on the charger and after just a little bit the lights indicate that they're fully charged (maybe because I've tried to charge them fully several times), but the Sigelei KEEPS reading them around 60%, and then as soon as I press the fire buttin, it jumps down to around 54%, and if I keep pressing it over and over it keeps jumping around like that. Is that normal? Any idea what the issue could be?

Charger plain and simple. Those cheaper Trustfire chargers are antiquated IMO. You are going to need to invest in a better charger that is more modern. Xtar, Efest LUC, and Nitecore are presently the most suggested from highest rated to lowest. All of them are intelligent chargers compared to just a Lithium Ion charger.

Online you can find a Nitecore i2 for around $10, older compared to its even more modern brother the D2, it still tells and indicates what charge state a battery is at with 3 led lights per charging channel, all three solid and not blinking, battery is full, blinking led shows what level the battery has been charged to, the D2 uses a digital dispaly, the i4 and D4 are just the 4bay versions of these 2. Efest you'll want to look at the LUC2 or LUC4, digital display as well as some more advanced features over the Nitecore chargers. Xtar has some excellent models, the WP versions use led indicators, older but still a great charger version, the VC and VP series are the best out there for a budget charger IMO, can be found for about $35 before you start talking like a Pila or even higher end charger, there would be your price range to balance what you can afford.

Which Samsung batteries do you have hvape? I use 25R in my Sigelei 150 and have no problems.

No, it's not normal. If your charger is the Trustfire TR-001, they are pretty well known to not completely stop charging when the batteries reach 4.2 volts. That means if you don't take them out when the charge is done the batts age really quick and eventually will not reach full capacity anymore.

The best thing to do when troubleshooting battery issues is check the batteries with a DMM when you take them out of the charger. If they are not reading very close to 4.2V there is either something wrong with the charger or with the batts.

I would buy a new charger no matter what because I would not feel safe with the Trustfire. I have two dual bay, simple Xtar chargers that do the job just fine and are safe. The newer one is the WP2s which I think I paid around $25 for.

It would not surprise me if you find the batteries are toast. That has hapenned quite a few times with that charger.

Hi @Catsofplenty . I have the Sig 150 watt and run Samsung 25r's (20Amp) in it. BUT... I am not pushing the wattage (usually around 30 watts). When I throw a Smok TFV4 on it or on my other CUBE I use the Sony VTC 4's 2100 mah (30Amp rating). The HG HE2(20Amp) 3000 mah are getting a lot of attention as as good as the 25r's.

Like the others above I also recommend a quality battery charger. Good luck.

I ordered the Sigelei 150 Watt. Which batteries are safest? I heard the Samsung 25r are good but don't know what mAh rating is best. Any suggestions?
The most important thing regarding batteries is the amp rating. The higher the mAh, the longer the battery will last before it needs to be recharged.

A pair of LG HG2's, Sony VTC5's or Samsung 25R's would be good up to about 130W.
If you are going to be vaping above 130 watts use the Sony VTC4's or LG HB6's.

For a regulated mod, in VW mode, you calculate the max current draw as Max Amps = Max Wattage / Min Battery Voltage (3.2 volts).

The Sigelei 150 uses two batteries in series so Max Amps = Max Wattage / Min Battery Voltage (6.4 volts).

I have the Sigelei 150W box mod, and it operates the same way. Every time that you press the button you are going to drain the battery...1% or more.

I also have two chargers, both very cheap and they do the trick. I have a two battery Trustfire(for a backup), and a four battery Intellicharger i4. Never had any issues with the chargers and I use them every day.

Since September 7, 2015, I've spent around $1,500 driving to shops and buying e-liquids, vaping gear, hats and T-shirts. I'm not saying the chargers were of little importance, but, the SHOPS that I went in too, were using these battery chargers to keep their devices and their guests devices fully charged. So, I took that as a recommendation as to their ability to take a beating and produce results adequate for my own needs.
