I have this problem with one of my blue tipped, black RN4081 batteries...
If I pull on it, it randomly starts switching on if I shake it or move it around a bit...
I found that if I blow into the battery this stops... until I take a drag again... then it goes crazy again.
This is most annoying, wish someone could tell me how to fix it

More than likely you got liquid in the battery compartment since auto batteries are not sealed. It's one of the many down sides to auto batteries. It will eventually die completely.
I would recommend getting a manual (with the button) PV. They are sealed so no liquid can get into the battery compartment. And if you want batteries that last 5-8 hours on a charge, deliver consistent performance for hours and only cost about $2.50 each, then get a mod like the Prodigy V2, the Silver Bullet, the GLV, etc.

Thanks wv2win, I also think some liquid got into the battery. I do direct drip (cautiously though) so that would explain it.
I wish there was a way to fix it, I really like the black battery with blue tip and can't find anymore from my original supplier.

Before taking it apart. Blow into the atomizer end without the atomizer on it. Blow hard at least a few times. I had 2 that would occasionally do this and blowing into them fixed them for a while. They may do it again in a week or two but blowing into them fixes mine every time.
Blowing into them resets the little diaphgm switch and cures the problem for me. If you are dripping, try dripping a little less because you may be getting juice into the battery.

Thanks for the advice, I changed from 3 drops at a time to 1 at a time.
I did blow out the atomizer a lot this solved my problem for a few minutes but looks like I'm gonna have to get it replaced, already did a recall so there's a new 4081 battery waiting at the post office.
I do find though that both of my batteries are rather inconsistant, they both only produce a lot of vapor for the first 15 or so drags and then I have to apply vaccum mouth to get a hit out of it. The vapor is there but the hit isn't.
I don't think it's my atty cuz I have 2, a brand new one and a 2 week old one and they both do the same thing! >_<
Damn these batteries really do suck, but like where would I find a black manual battery compatible with my RN4081 attys? Any suggestions?
Shot in advance
