Well Emp, I've been vaping a bubblegum flavour mix today and it's nice. It tastes fun ... reminds me of my childhood. If I was as eloquent as you I would try to describe it but I'm not so I can't. It's a pleasant taste though, there's nothing there to not like.

You'll have to give lessons on describing tastes - what top notes are etc. I read somewhere that you went to wine tasting meetings so you must have picked up some of the vocabulary.

How have your experiments been going?

Hi Brian. Well, I've tried cranberry, nice and fruity, a little bit tangy. Bubblegum, can't describe that except to say it's fun. Now I'm onto coconut. That's a strong smell and subtle flavour, nice though, just needs a bit more to be used than the others for strength of taste. That's as far as I've got with my LorAnn flavours so far. It's going to take me ages to work my way through all these bottles. I'm lucky my gamble paid off and they are tasty to vape, it would have been awful to have been stuck with so many if they had turned out to not be ok.

I haven't tried evaporating the flavours over a heat source yet so I don't really know if they leave a lot of residue behind. If they do it hasn't been a problem, I clean my atomisers with isopropyl alcohol and that's been cleaning them well.

Do you mix your own liquid Brian? I'm really enjoying the different flavours and strengths of juice I can make. Esmoking is yummy. How long have you been esmoking? Are you addicted yet?

Not addicted yet. Only been at it for a month. Wish I had found this forum before I started ordering stuff as I have easily spent over $400 so far.

Haven't quite found my groove with vaping yet. Bought some JC Artic Mint high strength and thought I might be able to quit with that. Really really liked it but my mentally disabled son ran off with the bottle while I was sleeping the first day I had it and we haven't seen it since. Have to hide it from now on. Actually wanted to hoard the JC juice from my wife who also vapes. It was that good. Anyway. I ordered some more and some empty carts from China so I'm hoping to get back into it. Also ordered the sample pack so I plan to do some mixing.

Currently using a Kissbox with the manual switch and really like it. Have been able to cut back from two to one pack of regular cigs a day so it has helped. The really high strength nicotine is what I need to kick the regular cig habit though. Maybe my stuff will make it through the mail with the hurricane and all. I'm close to the Mississippi coast.

It sounds a bit hazardous to have nic juice around your son. Can he open childproof bottles? If not maybe you could consider decanting your juice to a safer container.

Lol, you can't hide the juice from your wife, you're supposed to share those sort of things. Just get a big batch of juice, enough for you both to share and mix. I bet you'll enjoy mixing your own flavours, it's a lot of fun finding new tastes that you like. JC already has a good reputation for being yummy anyway though.

The people who got good Kissboxes seem to think they are great ecigs, especially because of the manual switch. I have just ordered one but I think it's a bit random whether a good one turns up or a dud. I'm looking forward to having a go with it anyway.

It's great that you've cut back smoking by a pack a day, that's loads. The nicotine kick from ecigs will probably never match ordinary cigs, they put outrageous things in cigs to make them more potent and addictive. I was reading a bit about free-base nicotine today that the cig manufacturers use, it's the nic equivalent of crack cocaine apparently. Hits really fast and hard. We'll probably never get our hands on that kind of stuff for vaping; that's not such a bad thing either I suppose. There seems to be some people who can swap from cigs to ecigs immediately and others who linger with the cigs, not quite making the crossover. At some point, when you feel brave, just decide to stop buying cigs for a day and see how it goes. If you can do without them for a day you can do without them for two ... and so on. Once you give your taste buds a day or two to get used to ecigs without cigs you will realise how much better ecigs taste and you won't want to go back to cigs. You might need to supplement you nicotine intake with snus or gum or something to start off until your body gets used to less kick.

Good luck with the hurricane. Keep safe. Sending good vibes your way.

I did order two bottles this time so I won't mind sharing. Not kidding, I felt like a junky hiding his stash. JC high is like extra stength from other venders. About 24 milligrams of nicotine. First puff even a heavy smoker like me could feel the rush. I will be more careful in the future. Think my dog got ahold of the tiny plastic bottle and ate it as he was mysteriously sick for a few hours.

It's interesting that you feel the nic rush from 24mg liquid even though you are used to so many cigs. Some people say that they don't get a buzz from ecigs at all even with high nic liquid.

I used to smoke around twenty roll-ups a day, they are pretty strong, without filters. When I tried eliquid it was way too strong for me for some reason. I had to dilute it before I could tolerate it. I don't know why I had no problem reducing my nic intake, it was easy, although I still enjoy some nic in my juice for a mild buzz.

I think some people are more sensitive to the type of nic in eliquid than others, some get more of a buzz from the same level nic than others. It doesn't seem to relate to the number of ordinary cigs someone smoked either. It's strange.

I think it is just that the more you smoke regular cigs, the more you damage your lungs, the less efficient they are at extracting the nicotine from the smoke, the more you smoke. Plus the fact that you build up a tolerence real quick. Vaping clears the tars etc. from your lungs. Ever see a resperatory therapist in the hospital? They go around with vaporizers to help clear the lungs of bedridden patients. Same stuff we are doing. We are just getting the nic fix while we are at it.

I did manage to quit for 4 days when I first got my Janty and could definitly tell the difference in my health. The main reason I want to quit is my son. He will never be able to take care of himself so I need to live as long as possible to take care of him.

That makes a lot of sense, the less gunk we breathe in the easier it is for our bodies to process the nicotine.

Why did you start again if you quit for four days? Did the ecig not satisfy you?

Yes, you have responsibilities, it's a good thing that you take them seriously. You do need to be around and healthy for as long as possible. How old is your son?

My lungs started hurting and my throat got sore. That combined with not enough nicotine in my juice made me want to go back to smoking more and more. The first time I tried the JC juice though I knew I could quit with it. Just waiting for the packages to arrive to give it a serious go again.

My son is 13. He was messed up by the mercury in the childhood innoculations and has symtoms of autism. Lucky for us he did begin to speak at about 5. Before that, it was very frustrating for him and us trying to communicate what he wanted. Other children in his class with the same problem do not speak. You can't ask him how his day was and expect an answer but he is a very funny guy. One Christmas we were visiting relatives and I was asking him to sit down. Out of nowhere he said "Kiss my rump-a-bump-bum." There is much more going on upstairs than he can communicate.
