Default Using compressed air (not from a can) to clean an atomizer?

I saw a few threads back, someone was talking about using canned compressed air to clean their atomizer.

I've got an air compressor (~35 psi), could I use that to clean an atomizer? Or is it a bad idea?

I am reluctant to try compressed air because the coil is barely the thikness of a hair and it seems to me there is quite a good chance of breaking it off at the soldered connections.
