Something I noticed with the atomizer depth

yes, tweezers would be better, or a hook. Pushing from other side is possible too but there is a risk of breaking a wire unless very careful.

I just use a small paperclip thru the hole in the bridge of the mesh, bend into a U shape and pull up lightly untill it stops moving up. This is on a M401 Atomizer. I have 6 of them and they are all different hieghts from the factory untill I pull them all up so they are uniform.
