Something I noticed with the atomizer depth
on my 901's
I noticed that some of my atomized bridges are actually slightly higher up in the atomizer from the factory, the higher bridges seem to work better, so how do I get the other bridges up higher without risking damaging them by trying to push them up?
I have successfully "filed" down the atomizer tube at the mouthpiece end slightly using fine sandpaper on a flat surface a little here, a little there until the cartridge filler is now engulfing the bridge, and let me tell you, the atomizers I had for back up now work better than my best atomizers!
You must be careful to not "file" off too much, or the cart will not go all the way into the atomizer.
I do not know if this will work for the pen style, because of the non linear diameter of the atomizer ( may make the mouthpiece too loose)
If you try this mod, remember to sand or file a little at a time, and maybe use a toothpick as a depth gauge comparing the bridge depth into the atomizer vs. the reach in of the mouthpiece....
I am an engineer, so I have a little more experience with this type of thing.

Much easier to carefully pull up the innards a little bit.
Hold gently but firmly the metal bridge and pull it up. It will stop sliding when at the correct position.

There are two types of 901 atomizors the org 901 with high bridge and 4075 which burns hotter with the low bridge.

Even among the same type there can be some variability. Sometimes the inner cartridge is not fully in position; either it was not pushed fully into position or slid back in transit. I know this because among a batch of 901s I noticed a few with this problem and pulled them up carefully to the stop point; when at the correct position the inner atomizer will not slide further in the tube so it is easy to do.

Gotcha. I'll ck the 12 I have.

You grab the bridge with pliers?
I would think that would damage it?

I would recommend against pulling the bridge up. The heating element is quite fragile and an integral part of the 'thing' to which the bridge is attached. It is far simpler to adjust the cartridge stuffing to make optimal contact. If you ever have an atomizer die and rip it apart, you will know what I am talking about. Cartridges can be a real pain which is why so many vapers drip.

Taken apart quite a few atomizers now. The bridge will pull (slide) the whole inner atomizer. A diy hook would be ideal (pipecleaner perhaps as it has a soft coating); with pliers you need to be gentle with the grip.
The flick often described for getting excess juice out of an atomizer might also help slide the inner atomizer into the correct position.

Yeah I've notice that too. I've gotten RN4081 atomizers with the bridge at all different heights, including one which was above the tubing of the atomizer.
To the OP, I have used tweezers to adjust the height of mine, but you want to get one of the sides of the tweezer under the bridge to pull it up, because if you grab is from the sides you run the risk or tearing the wire mesh. You could probably make some kind of a hook with a paper clip instead of using tweezers.

I push mine up with a (pre-measured) paper clip whenever I change the cart.
