I'm sure you're not. And, even if I was qualified to diagnose you as such, I doubt I would be so bold to attemt a diagnosis over an internet forum.
However, I can't seem to wrap my head around the former quote and this one ...

But to each his own, right? You would probably think that I'm a bit odd or eccentric by the fact that I can't stand to wear new clothes without washing them first... Something about that "new clothes smell" that just bugs me.

Even so, I don't think the following is a good comparison...

A house infested with fleas will be nearly impossible to live in. The nagging annoyance of it would drive you crazy. A house infested with bacteria means nothing to anyone with a functioning immune system because bacteria is imperceptible. As much as some people may not want to admit it, every house is infested with bacteria.

You can buy pure glycerine soap as well, or castille. Good stuff!

And yeah, we're all covered in bacteria. My theory is that bacteria evolved us as an efficient transportation system

I like dirty too. Everything in moderation, is my philosophy.

I agree with washing the plastic carts out every so often. And good handwashing is essential! But look at babies, who put everything in their mouths. I am a firm believer that we build up our immune systems this way.

Just use common sense and you won't have to worry about your lips rotting off.
