I actually called TW and asked them if the mini that they sell is a real 901 or if its a 4075 and they said it was a real 901. A lot of people have said the 4075 produces more vapor anyways, hopefully the replacement atomizer they send me actually works. I am actually kind of liking the way this brushed steel battery looks on my 901b atomizer. I thought it would look kinda ghetto but its not bad.
If platinum is what you want. Get the model you like, (as long as it's stainless steel) and use this awesome tutorial igetcha69 made. Little more work than I rather do. But hey, now you don't have to be too concerned about who has the platinum versions.

The title of this thread is a complete reflection of my feelings. I don't understand what's happening and I don't think the problem is my not yet "broken in" atomizers. Using my 901, I get an excellent couple hits if I drip directly on the atomizer, but from the carts I get almost nothing. Only if I dripped on the atomizer and just topped off the cart will I be able to get maybe 10 good pulls maximum. After that I get almost no vapor and it tastes like burnt socks. This happens with carts that I filled with as much as 8 drops.

Yet when I pull out the cart filling I see that the bottom half is full. I can't seem to draw that bottom half at all. Am I doing something wrong, is my equipment bad, or is there some other explanation for this? FYI, I am using the standard cart filling on the ones that came with the kit.

I also tried a napkin or paper towel with various stuffing densities and they all seemed to just get mashed in the cart without giving me any effect whatsoever.

i don't beleive this to be true at all. I have both the dse and the rn and I find them to both produce the same amount of vapor. i do find that the dse slb battery lasts a lot longer then the rn batt. You really need to look at the numbers on the battery and atomizers. There is a lot of clones floating around now. Cheaper in price and quality.

I had that problem with a couple of my carts. Not sure how your batting/filler is. Mine was folded in to 3 or 4 layers. What I did was first, make sure the batting was leveled at the surface of the inner cart. Then opened up a "V" like shape. Filled the inner cart with liquid to the top. Then made sure the wick was in the same direction of the opening I just made in the batting. This seemed to help quite a bit. But most times I get inconsistencies with this.

So I just said, screw the cart and drip directly onto the atomizer slowly with about 4-5 drops and smoke it with out a cart at all. Works great this way...ends up feeling like a real cig as far as heat on your lips are concerned.
