They come in different shapes and sizes so you can find one that fits well on your desktop or wherever you want to stand your carts up. I just used to pen to make holes in it and a spare cart to make them fit perfectly standing up.
Costs about $4 (more or less, depends on size). No drill required

My dog food comes to me in Styrofoam ice chest. I have tons! Get one a week.
I cut a square out of one side of one. Grabbed hubby's screwdriver (Shhh!
) and made it hot with a cooking butane torch. Poked holes in the square in 4 to 6 rows. The holes are sealed so no Styrofoam goes up into the cartridge when I set them in there.
Wash and dry my fluff, stuff it in (tho using teabag paper right now) and drip away. Wait a few, then top off; put on the caps and drop into my tins.
(Ice Breakers mints come in WAY cool tins that hold several carts)

Being that I do a whole lot of reloading, I thought of this as well. I went out and picked up some NEW ammo boxes, the blue ones from Midway in 9mm. They work perfectly. Also the ammo shell holders (what you use when reloading after putting the powder in so it does not spill) work great for refilling carts. They hold them steady.
Given the lead that is used in ammo.. both in primers and bullets, I would avoid using a used one.. get a new one and use it ONLY for carts.

That is a great idea! I saw a few at Cabella's ..... never even considered using a used one.
Thanks so much!
